Wednesday Walk - Things that are Vermont

A nice barn. This is a neighbors small barn that was built in the 1800s. He recently moved it and replaced the roof. Always great to see people preserving wonderful old buildings. I focused on picking out a few photos that represented rural Vermont.

Traditional maple sap collection. Its maple syrup season. The sap flows as temperatures start to warm up. Nice to see some old school maple sap buckets.

Another picturesque old barn from todays walk.

Maple syrup is a big thing here. Maple Syrup Open House weekend is next weekend. The local farms show you around and how things are done. We are gonna check out the local farm near us.

I love those all American bonds especially the old timber ones built Way back when.

It’s so creepy! So perfect for a great horror movie!

And that’s a pretty heavy duty sap collecting system going on there with the tubes everywhere….

I wonder how it happened that the first person ever discovered that you can actually eat the sap from a tree…

I think the main difference is the Quebecois pour theirs over french toast while us proud Americans pour ours over pancakes 😉

I'll have to do a taste test some time, maybe subtle differences in the soil composition make them taste different lol.

Yeah I moved to Vermont. Seemed like the right time to get out of California. Fun to have lots of new photograph/blog subjects
