We Are Officially Opening The Terrace Season ☀️🏡 We Are Entering Summer 🧚♀️
Every season has its beauty, but the summer season is very different for me. The greening of the trees, the chirping of the birds and the warm kiss of the sun on my skin make me find peace somewhere inside. When the sun started to show its effect, we decided to clean the terrace and open the season.
Since we haven't used the terrace for a long time, it was a little dirty. We vacuumed it finely, then washed it well with intense water and bleach.
After the dust is cleaned, what remains are the ornaments hung on the wall. I love using Evil Eye Beads in outdoor decoration. The blue tone goes well with the yellow wall color. I plan to increase these nazr beads this year. I even have the idea of filling the wall with evil eye beads.
While I was doing all these procedures, my cat was watching me with great excitement. She loves to sunbathe on the terrace. I think my daughter is very happy that the terrace season has come after me. After the ornaments added to the wall, I took the plants we took inside the house in winter to the terrace one by one. Some of it will still remain below because although the weather is sunny, the light breeze continues. We thought that the wind would damage sensitive plants and we made this decision. By the way, my mother and I love plants very much.
The seats were wiped and the carpet laid on the floor. Now it is completely ready to sit. These seats belonged to our neighbor. When we had the terrace built, he gave it to us to put it here and we did not buy new furniture. My cat battered them a bit because the edges are leather, but they still do the job.
Many of the things you see on the terrace are decorations I made with my own hands. For example, the flower and window drawing on the wall belongs to me. I made the pot you see on the right for my wood flowers. As soon as I saw the thick tree branch I found on the road, I imagined it as a flower pot. I cut wood in the shape of a plate for a carpenter and screwed it into the branches, and as you can see, it became a natural flowerpot stand. It makes me happy to see the things I do with my own handiwork sitting here.
The geraniums are starting to bloom. My mom is a total geranium flower freak. Wherever he goes, if there is a geranium plant there, he asks for a branch, brings it home and grows them. There are those who haven't opened it yet, but what you see in this picture is the first to open it. Doesn't it have such a sweet color?
Apart from a few shortcomings, the terrace is now ready to be inhabited. In the summer, we sit here with the neighbors and sip our coffee while chatting. We put our little TV from my childhood on the cabinet. My mother loves to knit while watching TV. On the other hand, I like to sit here with my daughter and read a book the most.
I felt very tired and sat down to take a break for myself. Although there is a big space on the terrace, my daughter came to her favorite place, namely on my lap. So I started rocking the ball at my feet like a baby, doing his favorite thing. We plan to spend some more time here. That's why I'm ending my post here for now. Take care of yourselves.
