Gemstone Earring Making |Designing Handmade Jewelry | Moonstone and Prehnite
Hello Guys!
I recently told you that I am thinking of designing jewelry with precious stones and selling them. I didn't have the materials yet, but I still wanted to try myself and I wanted to design earrings with what I had. Let me tell you up front that I am not a professional in this business. I prepared all the stages as gifs down to the details.
Gemstone (I used 5 moonstones and 3 prehnite stones)
2 earring hooks
2 wires (I didn't have straight wire, I used curled wire. You can find it in stores that sell jewelry materials)
Round Mini Nose Plier
First, I added 3 gems to the metal bar. After adding it, I twisted the end of the stick into a ring. The first step of my earring is ready.
I added 2 moonstones to the other stick. In the middle, I added the bar that I made from the prehnite stone above. I added 2 more moonstones again. You can also do it with regular beads. It doesn't have to be a gemstone.
I made the wire into a circle shape. I brought the ends so that they face each other. Then it remains to add the last stone.
Let's fix it so that the wire bead is in the two holes. Let's apply some pressure so it doesn't break.
Finally, I attached an earring hook. Now my new earrings are ready to be used.
How do you think the result was? As I mentioned, I don't have the materials for the details yet. I just did this to test myself. I thought if I could do it, and I think I'll do the job. If you have ideas for me, I'll be waiting for them. Thank you from now.
