The Battle

image.png

It's a battle with 26 mana with Up close and personal ruleset enabled.
This means the following:

Only Monsters with Melee attack may be used in battles..

My team

Since I don't have other summoners besides the free summoners, the choise wasn't that hard. In water I usually prefer one summoner to boost the speed of my monsters: Kelya Frendul.

image.png

This Summoner has the ability to increase the health of all your monsters in the battle. Besides the increase in health, Kelya Frendul also boosts my monsters with a shield.

image.png

In the front position I placed my favourite water tank: Serpent of Eld.

Why did I choose this card?

He's a nice tank with his 5 health and 2 shield. And he also has the dodge ability. Since my enemy had to go melee only monsters, this tank would really be able to dodge a lot of attacks.

image.png

In the second place, I put Disintegrator.

Why did I choose this card?

My opponent had to use melee some lowering the attack of his melee monsters is always a good idea than!

image.png
In the third place, I put Deep Lurker.

Why did I choose this card?

Deep Lurker is really a beast when we're talking about assassins. He has 3 attack and 2 speed (+1 from my summoner). He's my favourite assasin of the free cards (which are mainly my cards). So I'm really glad he's part of the battle challenge!

image.png
In the fourth place, I put Hardy Stonefish.

Why did I choose this card?

I had 2 mana left and really wanted to use my other monsters, so 2 mana left. Since I could only use this one, I didn't have another choise.

Fight!

Round 1

image.png

Start of round 1.

My Serpent of Eld tanked all the attacks of the opponent which it received. On the backline, my Hardy Stonefish got killed, but that was his function to take 2 attacks, which worked out. Meanwhile my Serpent of Eld and Deeplurker are taking out the armor of two of the enemy monsters. It won't be an easy fight, it will really depend on who is dodging the most.

Round 2

image.png
Start of round 2.

In this round my Serpent of Eld is dodging some more attacks. While my monsters are able to damage the enemy Serpent of Eld and kill theHardy Stonefish. Now the battle is already going the good way, thanks again to my Serpent of Eld and his phenomenal dodge skills.

Round 3

image.png
Start of round 3.

In this round the enemy Serpent of Eld got killed while mine is dodging all the attacks of the enemy. I guess I'm really lucky in this fight with my dodge chanches. Now the fight is really favoured towards my side!

Round 4

image.png
Start of round 4.

This round my monsters are just killing the enemy team further slowly. My Serpent of Eld kills the opponent Parasitic Growth, which had no chanche to survive. My **
Deeplurker** is taking away the armor of the enemy Feasting Seaweed so that in the next round it could be killed as well.

Round 5

image.png
Start of round 5.

The killing in the enemy team just continues. My Serpent of Eld finishes off the enemy Feasting Seaweed while my Deeplurker takes out the armor of the enemy one.

Round 6

image.png
Start of round 6.

This round is there to finish off the fight. The enemy Deeplurker is the only one enemy surviving. The teamwork of my Serpent of Eld and my Deeplurker kill the enemy one and so they help me win this fight!

Conclusion

image.png

The strategy worked out in that sense that my Serpent of Eld would dodge some enemy attacks. I have to admit tough that I was pretty lucky since he really dodged a ton of attacks.

Despite it's the battle challenge of the Deeplurker, Serpent of Eld really got the price of most important card this battle. Ofcourse it's always teamwork!

About me

I am a person who discovered the Hive community in December 2021. I was looking for a new cardgame to play and eventually earn something in. After some research I discovered Splinterlands. Splinterlands is an innovative addition to the play-to-earn games in the NFT world. Previously known as Steem Monsters, the game operates on the Hive blockchain and belongs to the trading game genre. In Splinterlands, players fight against monsters to get in-game rewards.

I decided to pay the $10 after playing some matches for free. 10 bucks for a computergame seemed fair for me. At the moment I'm trying to build out my carddeck by playing the game and participating in the community. At the moment of writing, my $10 became already worth more!
