Faenza is an Italian municipality in the province of Ravenna (Italy)
In Faenza, there is a museum of ceramic art where ceramics dating from 4000 B.C. to the present day are housed. There are very fine ceramics dating from the late Middle Ages to the Renaissance,
The museum is called MIC, which means International Museum of Ceramics.
This museum is more than 100 years old and was founded in 1908 by Gaetano Ballardini. Now, this museum has become an important cultural research and documentation centre for ceramics from all over the world.
In this post I have included some photos to show what you can see inside the museum.

A Faenza c’è un museo dell’arte ceramica dove sono custodite ceramiche che vanno dal 4000 a.C. fino ad oggi. Ci sono ceramiche molto pregiate risalenti al Basso Medioevo al Rinascimento,
Il museo si chiama MIC, cioè Museo Internazionale della Ceramica.
Questo museo ha più di 100 anni e fu fondato nel 1908 da Gaetano Ballardini. Ora, questo museo è diventato un importante centro culturale di ricerca e di documentazione per la ceramica di tutto il mondo.
In questo post ho inserito alcune foto per mostrare cosa si può vedere all’interno del museo.

Che interessante😍. Ricordo ai tempi dei miei nonni l'importanza di tenere in casa manufatti di ceramica (ovviamente non dello stesso calibro di quelli antichissimi che si trovano nei musei, se no costerebbero una fortuna), specie vasi. Decorazioni che oramai non si comprano più perchè i denari servono a ben altro e allora si possono ammirare solo nei musei (per chi ha la fortuna di accedervi).

Un museo molto bello e appena si è all’ingresso si capisce subito di essere in un posto molto particolare. Il museo non annoia, l’edificio è un misto tra l’antico ed il moderno essttamente come le cose che si trovano all’interno. Si possono ammirare vasi antichissimi oppure ceramiche pregiate oppure arte moderna.
