Elections On Blockchain?

Yesterday was election day! After a month-long pre-election period, we finally arrived at the day when we had to vote!

I consider myself a citizen who believes in democracy, and voting is the highest democratic process in which we, the citizens, participate. It's the day when our votes determine the course that our daily lives and our country will take, as the elected party will likely follow the policies outlined during the pre-election period.

What surprised me was seeing that old woman with a lot of mobility issues choosing to leave her house and go out to vote !

So after I did my democratic duty I went out for a coffee and I also craved a bit of chocolate so I bought my self a Merenda pancake

In 2023, when I have to vote, I still have to go to a designated place where an envelope and 40-50 pieces of paper are provided. The parties' candidates are listed on those papers, and I have to choose whom to mark with a cross and cast my vote. Then, I have to throw away the ones that I don't need.

In my everyday life, I use a technology called blockchain that can solve all of these problems. It can make the election transparent and auditable because once data is recorded on the blockchain, it cannot be altered. Everything is public, and anyone can track the trail and verify the integrity of the election process.

Blockchain can provide us with secure and fast results without the need to use hundreds of manpower to count the votes, thus eliminating the compromise to security. Blockchain's cryptographic algorithms and consensus mechanisms make it resistant to tampering.

Of course, to use blockchain for elections when millions of voters are involved, you will need a secure and scalable blockchain. Perhaps #hive could be the solution?

Elections are one of the games of the ruling elite, imitating and involving the audience as participant in this circus performance, but without the audience. Because they believe that this game has become someone's energy. Completely agree with you and I think when blockchain will be used for voting around the world then the world will be much better because it will have realized the importance of blockchains that would solve so many problems
