"Food Fire & Colors" That Makes Holi Very Colourful Festival

avatar

For many, Holi is considered to be festival of colours. All the shades of colour comes out to make each Indian very colourful. Infact Holi is a festival where each of the letters sends out a very good message. HOLI as in HATE OUT LOVE IN.

It is a festival where everybody enjoy anf forget all the differences and make it a special ocassion for everyone. Now to add a twist to the general though I just wanted to add that the festival of colours is incomplete without Food & Fire. Infact Fire is important sign which begins the Holi Festival.

Holi festival starts with burning of a wooden pyre. It has a mythological connection which is associated with the Holi celebration. A huge wooden blocks were assembled before lit with flames.

However with the passage of time, people find a unique of celebration. This time it is in eco friendlier way, where cow dungs were used to make a huge blocks before setting it with fire.

People assembled at night, surrounds the fire area and dance and enjoy it. They stand up til it completed burnt.

The burning of this marks the begining of Holi festival. Another very common things associated with Holi celebration is an Indian food recipe. Call it Dahi Bhalle

Not sure how the trend for it started , but belive me, you been to any home and you will find a this recipe being served in front of you. A very common dish without which Holi doesn't seems to be a festival. You as k any Indian their favourite dish for Holi and unanimously comes up with the common answer of Dshi Bhalle

Infact it is a very tasty as well light to eat. Made up of Curd which is known as "dahi" it is good for digestion as well as for health. And fritter made up of hushed and black lentils known as udad daal. You can have it with salt or with sugar or add some tangy taste to it. Actuallybare fried without additing any thing. So you need to add sugar and salt as per your taste. You can make as much attractive as you can.

So while, many people assume Holi a festival of colours. I must say, it is festival of fire and food too. These two things are common at everyplace and without it surely holi celebration is incomplete. So these two things forms a very integral part of the festival and make it fiery delicious

Make sure to add these on your list when next time you plan to celebrate the festival in India.

Peace!!

Namaste @steemflow
