Flame of Forest or Red Beauty

Its the spring season in India. It allows us to see some fresh vibrant beauty all around us. Some trees have new Green leaves while some have fresh flower. In our region we have a specific plant that turns the entire area into Red. And the flower in itself is known as Flame of Jungle

As I was walking down to my jungle, I notice a section of the jungle covered with Red. It looks to be like there is a Fire in this section, however it was these flower that make the area so beautiful. While locally this flower is know as palash .

Palash flower is known as Scientific name Butea monosperma.

The beauty of the flower is its unique shape and size, at the same time it grows in abundant. It makes the tree look Red while at the same the ground too turns Red, with petals from the tree spreading all.over the place. There are hidden medicinal benefits of these flower. I read on the internet

Flowers and leaves of Palash are used to manage skin problems like acne and pimples because of its Kashaya (astringent) nature. It also improves digestion and increases sexual stamina when taken internally due to its Vrushya (aphrodisiac) property

Nothing could be better than having nature splashing the colours of their own to all.over the place. My Dad used to say that, these flower were used to make natural colours for Holi festival. They use to boil them and then squeeze the flower get the colours. Infact it was good way to avoid any mishappening during festival.

I have snapped some of the beauty of the flower to bring the best of nature from our area. Honestly it was good view if you watch them from distant. Really a nature magic at best and I enjoy my little #wednesdaywalk.
