Spending the Weekend With Olujay

IMG_8249.jpeg

As everyone knows, I and Olujay are brothers way before Hive, and we always try to retain the strong relationship we have. Even with the distance we have—as Olujay graduated and left for another state to serve his country while I am left at the university presently in my finals—we still talk very well, but although sometimes there used to be times when we got a little distant, we always find a way to update each other on how far things had gone.

Our relationship has grown stronger, and it feels truly like brotherhood that we are known to each other as parents with a close relationship. Last year, I visited Olujay at his place and had a really nice time with him and his family.

This new year, while chatting with Olujay, he thought of coming over to my side to celebrate the new year, but this could not happen because I already had plans of going to school on January 2 due to the IT presentation I had on Jan 4. Because of this, the Olujay visitation to my side got cancelled.

This was the opportunity we both had to see each other before we got busy with our lives again, and he travelled to a faraway state where we could not easily choose to meet physically. So the plans had to be changed, as since I am at school, I can easily visit him from school the next day after my defence and spend the weekend with him.

The Necessity of Food Before Travelling

I didn't leave home immediately today to Olujay's place, even though I told him I would be coming in the morning, because I needed a friend to help me with something. I had waited for a while before I called my friend, and we figured it was not possible. This made me have to leave later in the afternoon. I had not eaten anything through the morning, and it was already 2 p.m. in the afternoon.

As a foodie, I don't like travelling with a hungry stomach, so I made sure that I had to branch at a restaurant before travelling.

I got myself rice, two beefs, one egg, coslaw, and a litre of exotic chivita, which I didn't drink alone. My friend @monioluwa accompanied me to the bus terminal, where I would take a cab. The food was great and really did justice to my hunger.

Right now, I have arrived safely at his place, written this post, and Olujay enjoying his time at the Neoxian games!

So this is how you and @monioluwa hide food updates? Well done. Keep it up.🙌

Traveling on an empty stomach is not for me too, at least, I'll take a drink during the journey.

I celebrate your friendship with @olujay, I see both of you are intentional about it. My regards to that comrade and more..🤲😅

I won't want to buy you something that would hurt your health. Soda is bad for the body, you know.😎

Awwwwwn! This is so lovely. Why make us salivate when you won't share what you ate with us? Haba bro, are we still brethren? Tell olujah that I am asking if we are still brethren.
Thanks for sharing.
