4 YEARS HIVE ANNIVERSARY TO ME !!! || HAPPY HIVE BIRTHDAY
Yesterday, I made it to be 4 years since I published my first introductory post on the chain. Thinking of this brought memories of my life during the time when I just created my account. That life is far different from what it is now. Back then, I did not have a single penny to my name, I was broke in all areas with no single savings or anything but dependent on what my parents sent to live on.
I was in ND2 in a polytechnic in Ogun State Nigeria. I was close to finishing the program; but about two months away. I had known about steem Hive before joining back then. I just didn't want to join because crypto was something I did not believe in, and neither did I believe in making money from the net as anything associated with that is fraud.

Seeing the way the life of my coursemate was changing and how he was able to afford basic things for himself pushed me to want to join after rejecting to be part months before. I had no choice? I saw the changes in his life and I wanted the same.
I was glad @k-banti finally got me to create my account. I remember back then you have to wait for a certain period, let me say waiting list before your account is ready. And when my account was ready, @k-banti helped me create my introductory post.
Yes, this was me 4 years ago. There is no much difference from me now but I am grateful for the changes in my life. It is not something I can describe as little changes because they are of significant effect.
Talking about the changes, we have the food Hive has brought to the table, the items, gadgets, and gears Hive has provided for me, and recently helped me health-wise. The fact that Hive could provide the funds for my recent surgery is something I am forever grateful if not, where would I get the money.

It even happened at the point when my parents have little on their hands. Now I am imagining, that I may either be in a highly discomforting state, or maybe something else regarding death may have happened if Hive wasn't there to save the day because I could not eat, drink, and was choked; I had difficulties breathing.

Truly, the day when I chose to join Hive was the best decision I have ever made in my life. It has been more of a blessing to me and I have made that decision to share that blessing with others.

How much has Hive been helpful to your life?
I never regretted the day I joined Hive. Though it all started from Steemit in 2016, I didn't enjoy it as much as I do now on Hive. Hive has helped me buy foodstuffs as a normal being would. Many students would always complain about not having food and thereby calling their parents, but I stopped doing that in my 200 level because I can feed myself and buy things for myself. Hive has changed me and I am grateful.
What has it done for you that you are so grateful for?
Many things apart from other blogging platforms I am in. Hive has made me independent on my own. Hive has helped me gain respect among people, especially those I extend my giving to. Hive helped me to help my siblings too. There are some things I have in my room now with hive money that when I look at them, I smile and thank God for this platform. Someone gave me a name in my hostel "Number one girl" 😅😅
Why would you recommend Hive to your friends?
One of the reasons I would recommend Hive to my friends is that it is decentralized. Hive has a long-term goal and it can save one if being focused on it. Even if other platforms leaves, Hive will always stay and be there. Hive changes one's status.
@olawalium is someone I know that has enjoyed Hive and has a story to tell through this platform.

I've been on hive for just some months now and I'd say financial it has not helped me yet but psychologically, yes. In these past months, I've learnt a lot from so many amazing writers, you included and my life have been so beautiful since I joined Hive.

It has brought me close to people who are supposed to be far from me, like I've meet a lot of amazing friends here and it's all thanks to hive.

You were so young when you joined hive. Oh my goodness. Four years since you started blogging and see how far you've come. Consistency truly is one of the many keys to success. I started blogging at about same time as you but after the hardfork I stopped for a period of two years plus or so and now I'm back, I'm trying to find my feet.
I haven't earned much from hive since I came back but it's a good thing that the hardfork transformed the steem we had then into hive given me double money...😄😄 If I can call it that. When I heard that everything you have on steem was duplicated on hive, I was very excited. This was because I just started diving into other aspects of crypto, investment to be precise and I needed some money to buy some tokens. Then pancakeswap had just launched their token cake and it seemed to be the talk of the town and I wanted some of it. The only way I could purchase some was selling hive. I did and I invested in pancakeswap and a $100 investment turned to thousands of dollars investments. It was a defining moment in my life. A lot of my life problems were solved. Although I staked in their farming pool and the dip hit so bad that the thousands of dollars vanished and I'm left with almost nothing, I still appreciate the fact that a lot of things I have achieved today was because I had some hive to sell when I needed it the most. Hive changed my story and I'm grateful.
Apart from money, hive has helped my writing become better. If I ever am to pursue writing as a career, with the amazing writers and great writing tips this platform has bestowed on me, I have no doubts I would excel.
Would I recommend hive to a friend? Yes of cos. There is nothing like an emergency bank account. That's the way I see hive. Given the economic situation of the country it is important for someone to have other sources of Income.

No words could adequately do justice to how Hive has been helpful to my life. Apart from being independent, it has allowed me to grow, horned my creative skills because the best is demanded all the time. I've been able to meet amazing people too that I would call friends for life. I've grown mentally and financially too just as my social friends account has grown.
What has it done for you that you are so grateful for?
A lot. I am grateful for the opportunity to improve my writings. I am gathering all my writings here together on Hive and working on making it into a book. I've been so blessed to have found this blockchain. I have been in contact with amazing people that I would call friends too and oh yes, I've earned quite a lot too while bringing a lot of people to this amazing blockchain.

We are all testifiers of hives life changing opportunity. I personally am very grateful for this platform every now and again.
Apart from the Monterey aspect being on here has helped my ability to be consistent with something, to be focused and have a sense of growth. Every growth and win on hive for me is more personal than anyone knows and I do not take it for granted.
As for the money, for me it’s more of having to save, I look at my growing wallet everyday and I am super grateful I have something stashed away for any raining days that my come in my life.

I myself have been in hive for about 5 months of course this is not too long, but some time ago hive has helped me when I was in need of money for my needs, although previously I didn't want to sell it first, but there was no other step can i do
due to limited information in my area, and I'm also new here myself, I've invited several people to join the hive but they are still unsure about what's paid here maybe they see that I haven't seen any changes myself, I will continue to invite them because someone's sustenance is not anybody know

Hive as had a great impact in my life as well during this short period that I've been here, there are days that I go broke and literarily had no where to run too for help, but then I've as stood firm in bailing me out of such brokenness.
