I am quite excited with the animated adaptation that has finally come to receive a work of this caliber, you see I started reading the manga of chainsaw man in mid-2020 around and I was quite hooked, in fact it was so much so that at the time when I updated in the plot and came to be on par with the manga, I looked for more works of this author and I really was not disappointed, as is the case of Fire punch, a work that I also recommend you to read, if you liked or gave a good impression at first instance with these 2 chapters in emission for now and to date of this anime.

It could be said that at the date in which we are now and in my case reviewing this, I am completely aware of the situation of the manga and I know everything that will happen, but do not worry my intention is not to come to spoil or something like that, I just come to share my first impression, my excitement with what I saw and especially my opinion before a broader and longer perspective, about what involves both the series and the manga in terms of narrative exclusively. I had planned to talk about this some time ago, in fact in the first moments in which the first episode was aired, but I was a bit busy, but as the saying goes better late than never, so this time I bring you my first impressions and opinion about the animated adaptation of chainsaw man.

Estoy bastante emocionado con la adaptación animada que por fin ha llegado a recibir una obra de este calibre, verán yo comencé a leer el manga de chainsaw man a mediados del 2020 por ahí y me engancho bastante, de hecho fue tanto así que en su momento cuando me actualice en la trama y llegue a estar a la par con el manga, busque mas trabajos de este autor y realmente no me decepcionaron, como es el caso de Fire punch una obra que también se las recomiendo en leer, si les gusto o dio buena impresión a primera instancia con estos 2 capítulos en emisión por ahora y hasta la fecha de este anime.

Se podría llegar a decir que a la fecha en la que nos encontramos ahora y en mi caso reseñando esto, ando completamente al tanto de la situación del manga y se todo lo que ocurrirá, pero no se preocupen mi intención no es venir a spoilear o algo por el estilo, solo vengo a compartirles mi primera impresión, mi emoción con lo que vi y sobre todo mi opinión ante una perspectiva más amplia y larga, sobre lo que conlleva tanto la serie como el manga en términos exclusivos de narrativa. Tenía pensado hablar sobre esto hace un tiempo atrás, de hecho en los primeros momentos en los cuales se emitió el primer episodio, pero estaba algo ocupado, pero como dice el dicho mejor tarde que nunca, así que esta vez les traigo mis primeras impresiones y opinión sobre la adaptación animada de chainsaw man.

Chainsaw man or chenso man as it is commonly mentioned in Japan, is being considered a Japanese manga series both written and illustrated by Tatsuki Fujimoto, its serialization was presented in Shukan Shonen Jump magazine of Shueisha, from December 3, 2018 to December 14, 2020, but in the year 2022 the second part of the manga was presented for Shonen Jump magazine from July 13 to the present.

For December 14, 2020 was issued an announcement that the manga would be adapted into an anime, and the studio in charge of carrying out this work would be the animation studio MAPPA, which came to premiere and begin broadcasting on October 11 of this year, the anime is being directed by Ryu Nakayama and Makoto Nakazono and music composed by Kensuke Ushio.

Chainsaw man o chenso man como se le menciona comúnmente en Japón, viene siendo considerado una serie de manga japonés tanto escrito como ilustrado por Tatsuki Fujimoto, su serializacion fue presentada en la revista Shukan Shonen Jump de Shueisha, desde el 3 de Diciembre del 2018 hasta el 14 de Diciembre del 2020, pero en el año del 2022 la segunda parte del manga fue presentada para la revista Shonen Jump desde el 13 de Julio hasta la actualidad.

Para 14 de Diciembre del 2020 fue emitido un anuncio, de que dicho manga seria adaptado a un anime, y el estudio encargado en llevar a cabo este trabajo seria el estudio de animación MAPPA, el cual se llego a estrenar y comenzar su emisión el 11 de Octubre de este mismo año, el anime está siendo dirigido por Ryu Nakayama y Makoto Nakazono y la música compuesta por Kensuke Ushio.

Synopsis / Sinopsis

In a world in which demons are manifested, the plot focuses on the life of Denji a poor boy who tries to survive in this world, working for the mafia, with the intention of paying the debt that his father in life before he committed suicide, Denji coexists with a small demon named Pochita and between them they help each other, it is from these interactions and work that both survive and progressively the plot will take an interesting turn and their lives will change.

En un mundo en el cual se manifiestan demonios, la trama nos enfoca en la vida de Denji un chico pobre que intentar subsistir en este mundo, trabajando para la mafia, con la intención de pagar la deuda que genero su padre en vida antes de que este se suicidara, Denji coexiste con un demonio pequeño llamado Pochita y entre ellos se ayudan mutuamente, es a partir de estas interacciones y trabajos que ambos llegan a sobrevivir y progresivamente la trama tomara un giro interesante y sus vidas cambiaran.

Personal opinion / Opinión personal

As I mentioned in the introduction of this review, you can't imagine my surprise and joy when at the time it was revealed that this great manga would be adapted to anime, a manga that has been well received by its readers either those who are involved in communities in the world of manga and anime in a very deep way and others not so much, but still certainly enjoy reading this type of genres and others. When it was revealed that the animation studio in charge of this work would be MAPPA, I knew that this work would be in good hands and from what I was informed in the networks recently, about some comments set by the same director of the company in an interview, he specified that it would be carried out 100% in the development and management of all this production at a monetary level, and I can really say that I was very pleased personally for now.

Having finished watching the first two episodes so far today, I can only say that for now I am very pleased with the result, you can see the effort and dedication in the sharpness and fluidity of the animation, both in the characters and the environment or atmosphere that surrounds them, In this case and at first instance Denji's past and his relationship with Pochita, makes us empathize with his situation and in comparative terms with the manga, and what is shown in his panels is exactly what is shown in the manga, and nothing has been omitted to date or censored some aspects either in the characters or expressions for now. In general I can say that I am very pleased with all this really has done a good job so far, it has also come to notice in the opening of the series showing in a purely referential way certain scenes from classic movies going from Tarantino movies to Constantine for example, a great detail the truth accompanied by a good animation and subtle 3d model that is also seen in the series but not in an exaggerated and abusive way.

At this point, the usual for me would be to touch the animation section, but as I already talked about it a moment ago, I think it will be better to touch aspects linked to the plot as well as its narrative so far, and in a general way later obviously omitting important or outstanding points that are involved, in the same for what will happen or happens in the manga my intention is not to ruin the experience, rather it is to invite you to give the series a chance and if in such case you like it and it calls your attention, but if the wait to see each chapter on a weekly basis, seems annoying in some way and you want to resort to the manga it would also be perfect. My personal opinion with this before what I have read and seen in other of his works, is that in terms of narrative or plot this mangaca has a particular way of showing the personal aspects of his characters, immersing them or presenting them in scenarios, at best bizarre or unusual accompanied by an atmosphere and background certainly strong or bittersweet, questionable and real in terms of emotions, but the development that you get to witness and the background of all of them is very good.

For me this author has that special touch in this story as well as other of his works such as Fire punch (although in this manga is more trubio), I can say that the situations that the characters go through in general, from the main character to his companions or complementary characters will be involved many times in strong or implausible situations, but it is through this that the vision of them either in a very simple or deeper way changes and seeing those moments is very striking, you will see it as the series progresses and this is also noticeable even in first chapters, between the interactions or reception that our protagonist receives by others, due to his situation this takes weight later as well as some twists and turns, if this at the time will seem strong in the manga is more raw.

I feel that the series is worth it and this has been demonstrated in turn with the reception that people have had, even with its opening at the time of having taken it out that same day came to have almost more than 15 million views, which suggests that it was a series expected by many, another interesting detail is that the ending changes animation and music with each passing chapter, I found it an interesting detail the truth. Como bien mencione en la introducción de esta reseña, no imaginaran mi sorpresa y alegría cuando en su momento se rebeló que adaptarían al anime este gran manga, un manga que ha tenido una buena recepción por sus lectores ya sea aquellos que estén inmiscuidos, en comunidades en el mundo del manga y anime de manera muy profunda y otras no tanto, pero que aun así ciertamente disfrutan de leer este tipo de géneros y otros. Cuando en su momento se rebeló que el estudio de animación encargado para este trabajo seria MAPPA, supe que este trabajo estaría en buenas manos y por lo que me informe en las redes recientemente, sobre algunos comentarios fijados del mismo director de la compañía en una entrevista, el especifico que se llevaría a cabo un 100% en la elaboración y manejo de toda esta producción a nivel monetario, y realmente puedo llegar a decir que quede muy complacido en lo personal por ahora.

Al culminar de ver los dos primeros episodios hasta la fecha del día de hoy, solo puedo llegar a decir que por ahora estoy muy complacido con el resultado, se nota el esfuerzo y la dedicación en la nitidez y fluidez de la animación, tanto en los personajes como el ambiente o atmosfera que les envuelve, en este caso y a primera instancia el pasado de Denji y su relación con Pochita, hace que lleguemos a empatizar sobre su situación y en términos comparativos con el manga, y lo que se muestran sus paneles pasa exactamente lo que se muestra en dicho manga, y no se ha llegado a omitir nada hasta la fecha o censurado algunos aspectos ya sea en los personajes o expresiones por ahora. En general puedo decir que estoy muy complacido con todo esto realmente se ha efectuado un buen trabajo hasta ahora, también se ha llegado a notar en el opening de la serie mostrando de manera netamente referencial ciertas escenas de películas clásicas pasando desde pelis de Tarantino hasta de Constantine por ejemplo, un gran detalle la verdad acompañados de un buena animación y sutil modelo en 3d que también se ve en la serie pero no de manera exagerada y abusiva.

En este punto, lo habitual para mi seria llegar a tocar el apartado de la animación, pero como ya hable de eso hace un momento, creo que lo mejor será tocar aspectos ligados a la trama así como su narrativa hasta ahora, y de manera general después obviamente omitiendo puntos importantes o sobresalientes que estén involucradas, en la misma para lo que ocurrirá u ocurre en el manga mi intención no es arruinarles la experiencia, más bien es invitarles a darle una oportunidad a la serie y si en tal caso les gusta y llama su atención, pero si la espera por ver cada capítulo de manera semanal, les parece molesto de alguna forma y quieren recurrir al manga pues sería también perfecto. Mi opinión personal con esto ante lo que eh leído y visto en otro de sus trabajos, es que en términos de narrativa o trama este mangaca tiene un manera particular de demostrar los aspectos personales de sus personajes, inmiscuyéndolos o presentándolos en escenarios, a lo mucho bizarros o poco comunes acompañados de un ambiente y trasfondo ciertamente fuerte o agridulce, cuestionable y real en términos de emociones, pero el desarrollo que se llega a presenciar y el trasfondo de todos ellos es muy bueno.

Para mí este autor tiene ese toque especial tanto en esta historia así como otro de sus trabajos como por ejemplo Fire punch (aunque en este manga es mas trubio), puedo legar a decir que las situaciones por las que atraviesan en general sus personajes, desde el personaje principal hasta sus compañeros o personajes complementarios se verán inmiscuidos muchas veces en situaciones fuertes o inverosímiles, pero es a través de esto que la visión de los mismos ya sea de manera muy simple o más profunda cambia y ver esos momentos es muy llamativo, ya lo verán a medida de que la serie avanza y esto también se nota incluso en primeros capítulos, entre las interacciones o recepción que recibe nuestro protagonista por otros, debido a su situación esto toma peso más adelante así como algunas vueltas de giro, si esto en su momento les parecerá fuerte en el manga es más crudo.

Siento que la serie vale la pena y esto se ha demostrado a su vez con la recepción que ha tenido las personas, incluso con su opening a la hora de haberlo sacado ese mismo día llego a tener casi más de 15 millones de visualizaciones, lo que da a entender que era una serie esperado por muchos, otro detalle interesante es que el ending cambia de animación y música con cada capítulo que pasa, me pareció un detalle interesante la verdad. Con esto finiquito la reseña del día de hoy solo quería compartirles mi emoción con esto, y hablando de emoción tengo pensado hablar para la próxima sobre una joya antigua del genero shonen que volvió a la actualidad, no daré muchos detalles solo diré que hablare sobre ello lo más pronto posible, y como siempre gente gracias por leer y llegar hasta aquí espero la lectura haya sido de su agrado, y sin mas que decir hasta la próxima.
