Onboard rally video of the day - Takamoto Katsuta with Toyota Yaris Rally1 at WRC Safari Rally Kenya 2025

Japanese rally star Takamoto Katsuta is probably the most desperate driver after WRC Safari Rally Kenya because he had to retire from rally after the last special stage after he rolled on it.

Yeah, that's motorsport and nothing is for granted until you cross the finish line. Even after that you are not sure in anything because there can be technical scrutineering right after the rally, and if they find something they don't like (read not according to rules), you are disqualified from event).

Katsuta was in 5th place overall and hoped for another good result and lots of points and because Power Stage brings lots of points (Super Sunday as well), he went for it but he wasn't lucky enough.

It is shame for him because now he has two retirements from three rallies but what boosts him still is the 2nd place from Rally Sweden last month. He will have to rebuild his confidence as soon as possible because competition continues very soon.
