Ogier leads WRC Acropolis Rally 2021 after super special stage

Hi, friends!

It's nothing new in the World Rally Championship these days because seven times WRC champion Seb Ogier leads after short tarmac super special stage ran on the streets of Athens.

It should be a miracle for this guy not to win his 8th title this season and leave the sport as a champion. He is just better then anyone else around. But he didn't blister on today's shakedown where young Kalle Rovanpera posted a fastest time. But Kalle was on the soft tires and it was muddy surface so it is pretty clear why he was fastest at the shake down.

Those tires from the shakedown can be used during the rally so guys tried not to destroy them too much. WRC1 guys must pass the shakedown three times while WRC2 and WRC3 guys can do it only once. That's why Andreas Mikkelsen passed the shakedown only once probably because he was saving his tires.

There is another thing I noticed with Mikkelsen, He has a co-driver who is under the contract with M-Sport Ford. Does it mean that he already has a deal with this team for 2022?! I wouldn't be surprised because there is a gossip about him as a potential driver for this team for some time.

I guess that this weekend will be a tough fight between Mikkelsen and Mads Ostberg for the title in the WRC2 class. Let the best win there, nothing else.

Guys from M-Sport were terrible at the super special stage with Gus Greensmith 17th and Adrien Fourmaux only 21st.

First three places went to Toyota guys (Ogier, Evans and Rovanpera) and the other three places were reserved for Hyundai team (Neuville, Sordo and Tanak).

Tomorrow we will have a huge fight with Ogier in the favoring position because it is muddy and the first car has an advantage when it is a muddy surface.

Let the best win - as always...
