FIA revealed ERC Rally Liepaja 2023 entry list

It seems that calendars of both top rallying series are made in a way that every series has its own weekend and that's the best way for fans. That way we have guaranteed action and fan from both worlds.

It is impossible to compare European Rally Championship with the World Rally Championship. WRC is just much more advanced with kinda better drivers at that moment while in ERC we have an ex-WRC drivers who can't find a seat in the top premium division.

I could add one more series which was really popular 10-15 years ago and it was called International Rally Challenge. Eurosport series were their promoter and I can tell you that at one point this was more popular then World Rally Championship. It was based around screaming Super 2000 cars which were popular for a long time.

At one point, Eurosport series decided to buy ERC rights and that's the way how today's ERC became. After they bought rights for ERC, they put away IRC instantly and that was the whole story. I am completely sure that IRC was much better competition then today's ERC but they are working towards better, of course.

Rally Liepaja is another station of ERC and it is based in Latvia with super fast gravel roads for bravest guys of an old continent.
