Blast from the past - WRC Rally Acropolis 2001

Rally Greece is also called Rally Acropolis and it is one of the roughest rallies in the world.
It is shame not being in the World Rally Championship anymore but because of the economic situation in Greece, it was dropped out of the calendar.
Acropolis, Cyprus and Safari were the trio of toughest and roughest gravel events in WRC but all three are now out.
Safari had to be in WRC for 2020 but because of the coronavirus pandemic, they were not included, or to be precise, they had to postpone the rally, but no one know for how much time.
Season 2001 was the season of Richard Burns who became World Rally Champion at the end of that season. But at the moment of Acropolis was run, Colin Mc Rae was the man to watch because he won the three rallies in the row. That's why he was my hero in my younger days.
Petter Solberg finished 2nd overall for Subaru and Harr Rovanpera 3rd for Peugeot.
Four times WRC champion Tommi Makinen finished only 4th and Francois Delecour 5th for Ford. It was the first point on gravel for Citroen Xsara WRC in the hands of Philippe Bugalski.

Very cool to see something like this on Hive. Im trying to look for tags and communities for my own content which is motocross - although its is not rally driving it is similar in some ways.
I think you might be the admin for the page? would you welcome motocross posts using your tag/community or would you prefer to keep it as it is and just rally based?
