Blast from the past - Lombard RAC Rally 1989

Hi, friends!

There is currently active rally event called Roger Albert Clark Rally held in Wales and my colleagues are there with one car so that is the reason to go bavk into the past and say a few words about this legendary event.

RAC comes from these first letters of Roger Albert Clark Rally and thirty years ago, when rallying was extremely popular in Great Britain, Lombard RAC was part of World Rally Championship with its great gravel special stages, sometimes ran in fog, dark or even snow.

There was an edition from 1993 with lots of snow on the top of gravel roads and I enjoy watching drivers of that generation doing their best to fight with car through the special stages.

Today most of the cars are historics on the RAC but back then, it was the newest FIA machinery homologated for rallying. We have a video from 1989 edition so check it out on stages from back then...
