A Black Panther Saturday and Catching Up

Hey Hivers! How's it been?

Last Saturday, November 12, I woke up to a fine early morning. The sky was blue, giving off a vibe of a great day ahead.

That day was my appointment for waxing and the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever movie. And after the movie, I met my batchmate from my previous university and a good friend as well.

I was an hour late for my appointment because of heavy traffic, but I had already texted my technician ahead of time. The underarm and brazilian waxing just took about 30 minutes, more or less. The shop is called Lay Bare and is located at SM City Cebu, North Wing. If it's your first time, I recommend you try there, with light hands and friendly employees.

Following that, we proceeded to Ayala Lahug, where we would meet my cousin and her fiance. They had our tickets. We ate at Jollibee first; it was like an early dinner. And of course, as a practical mom, I bought extra rice, knowing that one scoop wasn't enough for my son. and to save money as well, right?

When we were done eating, we headed to the fourth-floor level, took some pictures, and waited near the Cinema 5 entrance. We saw some cute dogs at their designated play hub with their owners. My son was excited to look at them and wanted to enter. But you can't, unless you own a dog, which I doubt.

Our movie's time had come. It was like 15 minutes before we were allowed to enter the theater, so we fell in line. My son got more excited about it because it was his first time as well. As we entered the premises, we got settled in our seats, and the trailers for the movies started showing. My son then said, "Mommy, what a big TV." I laughed because he said it out loud and it was so cute. The thought of that made me smile again. Haha!

Before the movie started, there was a cosplay of King T'Challa and his sister Shuri. They requested for us to stand and chant the wakanda "Yibambe," which means "hold fast." The crowd was ecstatic, even me. gave me chills. We all applauded and took our seats.

And so the movie started. After two hours and forty minutes of sitting and watching, I cried during some parts of the movie (I won't say which ones) LOL. Everything was great. We laughed and were amazed as well. My son enjoys it as well, having seen the previous Black Panther film and other MCU films. And yes, we stayed and waited for the end credits for the next juice, as always.

When the movie ended, we headed out and parted ways with my cousin and her fiancé. My son and I then ran into an old college buddy, Kimberly.

Fun fact about her: she loves and is passionate about pastry. She's a licensed architect, but her hobby is to make cakes as well. I ordered some of her master piece, and it was so delicious. worth the price. If you're interested and enjoy pastries, please support her business by liking her Facebook page, and who knows, you might even buy one. (Cebu) Click here!

Then we decided where to go. We took a taxi, and the next thing we knew, we were at the Park Social. Lol. We then catch up on the happenings in life. We decided where to go next when it was already ten o'clock at night. As I was texting my cousin, we decided to go to their place and continue jamming. As a result, we took a taxi going there. Kim was game about it.

We arrived at my cousin's house before them because they had stopped by to get some snacks and drinks.

It was already late in the evening when we went to sleep. Kim had already left when I awoke. as her house is just near my cousin's place too.

We stayed for the whole day at my cousin's and went home by 5 in the afternoon. It was a spontaneous kind of thing. Overall, my weekend was well spent.

Thank you, Hivers, for taking the time to read up until here. until my next blog. All the best!

I have not yet experienced watching a movie again in the theater. The last time I went was before the pandemic and the movie was the parasites. Lol

How exciting to take your son to the movie theatre for the first time. And so funny with his comment about the big TV. Spontaneous days/nights are great fun. I'm sure your sone loved having a sleep-over too.
