Sunday morning ride 🛥 The Shipyard

It all started with a unicycle.

I have been riding electric unicycles for more than seven years and just sold my segway nine-bot which had a range of 16km for a Kingsong S18 with a range of around 75km. With that, I have greatly increased how far from home I can travel.

With the extended range, I ended up wandering into uncharged territory.

that said, here is the chart...

The whole area where you see the blue lines, as well as the entire nature reserve, have been my weekend stomping grounds for the last few weeks. The new wheel has extended my range to the point that I can ride from sunup to sunset without worrying about having to carry my mode of transportation home.

My youngest got his e-bike and our first excursion was three weeks ago when we first did speed tests of his e-bike. Since then, I got my S18 and also a Surron. Those videos and posts are upcoming as time permits.

The other side effects of having longer range is that I am in front of the computer much less than I used to be. Posting from my phone is far too frustrating. English words are corrected to display random Spanish words or vice-versa as I attempt to write my post. Forget it.

We found the shipyards just by investigating these areas. But we also found another place where children are brought to learn to drive. We found a place where helicopters land. I am not sure if aircraft can be rented, but I would like to rent one and learn to fly whirlybirds one day. Cessna and gliders are already in my log book and I would like to add helicopters.

Sunday mornings are the least risky days to go out riding - the industrial park and docks are completely deserted. Today is also Election day so nobody is out and about - all stores are closed.

Spring time is the best, no mosquitoes yet. Temperatures are between 60 to 75 degrees. The vehicles run dead silent. The birds are singing. Can you imagine a more tranquil morning?
