These are not just ground beef, they are something special - maybe ground steak!

My kids told me about this place

Located between Callao and 9 de Julio on Corrientes -

within site of the Obelisco, you will find Dean & Denny's.

It has three levels and a dumb waiter to bring up the burgers.

Outside seating on picnic bench style tables is available, where we locked up the bikes, along the weekend walking street of Corrientes. The street is one way on weekends with the westbound lanes turning into a mall / bike path.

Here, in the land of inflation, most food places are shrinking or cheapening the portions and quality, but D&D's has opted to serve the best and just raise the prices as the currency turns to toilet paper.

I was shocked to find full strips of bacon on the fries instead of goo-ee bits of half cooked ham.

And in the cover photo, the Super Dean Burger, was almost too big to finish and yet too delicious to stop eating. The only criticism I have is that they use sweet Gherkin slices instead of dill pickle slices. Still very awesome!

They also offer salmon burgers, which are breaded salmon patties on a bun as well as chicken and vegan varieties.

Then lastly, the crispy onion cubes that are cheddar filled. I have always ordered these when I am there and they vary in deliciousness, today's were a bit over done.

Oh, did I mention that there is free ping-pong downstairs? Put up your ID and you get paddle and balls - play as long as you like. A very friendly place to stop and eat.
