Hello everyone, Lester here! How's your weekends? Good? Bad? Meh? While you're not sure yet on what is your post will be, let me share to you my entry for [Week 117] Weekend-Engagement concept | One weekend photo and 250 words. For most of the people, weekend is for relaxing and spending time with family or with yourself. But for us, we need to grind even on weekends to make additional earnings to sustain our daily needs. For this post, I would like to share our Succulent Souvenir Preparation.

Me and my wife occasionally accepts orders for a budget friendly wedding/party souvenirs. And one of these is making Succulent Souvenirs. The preparation will start by doing bulk orders of these succulents that will come from Benguet, Philippines. Nowadays, its hard to order quality succulents because of the rainy season, wherein these plants easily die when soaked with water. These succulents just came in today and the wedding will be by next week. So its good that we already have these plants and will not tire ourselves looking for other succulents suppliers.

Aside from these plants, we also need to prepare small white pots, ribbons, small abaca basket, print outs for plant care instructions and thank you cards. Part of the preparation also is to make sure that the thank you cards suit the preference of our clients. We usually do this ahead of time compared to the preparation of other materials. Plants will then be re-plotted into small pots. And then we will put the potted succulents in the abaca baskets, insert plant care instruction and thank you card and will tie a ribbon on one of the abaca bag handles. The finish products will then be delivered hours or a day before the wedding/party.

People nowadays don't spend too much for souvenirs. These succulent souvenirs usually cost around 2 to 3 USD per piece only. Also. they are environmental friendly and teaches people how to care for plants. Doing this also relaxes my mind and body by just staring to these green plants.

That sums up my Weekend Engagement. Thank you for reading my post. *Photos captured by me.

When I see this, I remember I was given one of these succulents and it died. 😅

I more of a cacti person for plants. Succulents are kinda tricky to keep alive.

My first one were those with leaf like jelly beans. They were healthy for a few days then started to wither and die 😂
