Forrest Gump

FORREST GUMP.

This movie was released in 1994, based on a very well known book by the writer Winston Groom, published in 1986, I'm talking about FORREST GUMP, both movie and book have the same name. Produced by a great director such as Robert Zemeckis.

Plot:
The movie focuses on the story of Forrest Gump, a boy from Alabama which has a small mental retardation, which is a kind of autism, however that is not stopped him to have a part in the history of great events that happened in the United States. As the owner of Aplel or that he went to war and saved several soldiers of his platoon, apart from this he also fights for the love of Yenny, who is his best friend and his great love. Forrets Gump is without a doubt an example that people with autism can do great things. The story is told by Forrest Gump himself from a bench at a bus stop.

Starring:
Acting in this film play are actors such as: Tom Hank, who plays Forrets Gump also starring actors, Robin Wright, Gary Sinise, Sally Field.

Release date:
The date this film was released is July 6, 1994, and had a financing of approximately $55 million. Winner of 6 academy oscar awards.

Director:
The director of the movie is Robert Zemeckis.who is very well known in the world of cinema for his incredible movies, some of them are: "gangs of new york" and and the saga back to the future.

Producer:
The three producers were "Wendy Finerman", "Steve Tisch" and "Steve Starkey". The intervention of these three producers made the film a success, making it iconic in the world of cinema.

Screenwriter:
It was written by the screenwriter "Eric Roth" based on the book that also bears the name of the same tape, hence the idea of turning the book into a movie, of course there are many differences between book and tape, perhaps those who have read the work, say it has nothing to do, but that does not take away or ceases to be a great movie with a great script.

Soundtrack:
The music of this film is great, first it is composed by film music composer Alan Silvestri, who knew how to capture every scene of the movie and make the music in it was special for the viewers.
It also has a lot of songs from great artists, some of them are:
Fortunate Son by the band "Creedence Clearwater Revival".
Rainy Day Women by Bob Dylan
Break on Through (To the Other Side) by the band The Doors.

All great songs these to mention a few, it is worth mentioning that the film is set in various periods between the 50's to the 80's, therefore the musical genres in this one are many, rock, pop, flok, etc.

Visual effects:
The film's visual effects were superviusly created by Ken Ralston who, along with a group of visual artists and graphic designers, created all of the film's special effects.
The film was a pioneer in advanced visual effects for the time, in order to achieve many iconic shots of the film, such as putting the actor playing forrets gump with the then president Kennedy and many others. According to the data, about 350 shots were taken, to which the technicians added visual effects.
Computer effects were also used, the quality and realism of the effects of the film were a boom for the time and which made the film entered the classics of film history.

Based on:
The movie is based on the book of the same name written by the writer Winston Groom in 1986, and follows the story of an autistic boy who travels the world and meets many famous people and who does many things that are historical in the United States. From this book the idea of the film is derived, with some changes of course, an incredible film adaptation, and the actor Tom Hank does a spectacular job as forrets gump.

Fun fact:
One of the curious facts about the movie is that the actor tom hanks exercised every day running 1.6 kilometers per day. To be able to do the scenes where forrets runs all over the world.

Critique:
It is an exciting movie for the whole family, which immerses us in the world of the protagonist through his journey, presents a story of love and friendship from the point of view of the naivety of an innocent person such as someone with autism. Tom Hanks gives a great performance in this film. All this together with all the people who worked on the production make the film a classic icon of cinema, which went down in history. The critics are divided from the point of view of the audience.

Opinion:
In my opinion it is a movie that is worth seeing and having in your collection, it is great and it reaches a point that connects you and moves your feelings, it also leaves a great example and leaves us a message, that a person with autism can do great things while many times we who have all our intellectual senses well, we close ourselves in that we can not and these people tell us the opposite with their life testimonies, this teaches us Forrets Gump.

Conclusion:
In conclusion forrets gump is a great movie that mixes comedy, love and friendship and leaves us with a spectacular message of personal growth, it makes us reflect on life and how we make decisions that bring us good and bad actions. Its success at the box office is genuine and will be for the history of cinema, becoming a cinematic classic, leaving a mark in the hearts of the public. If you have not seen the movie I recommend it 100%.

GREETINGS, a good movie that I have enjoyed many times and I share your way of seeing it from the point of improvement and motivation to others.
But on the other hand, autism cannot be identified with mental retardation, they are not linked to each other, they can be together but they are not part of each other, excellent review.

Thank you for your comment, well I'm not an expert on the subject of retardation and autism, I think it's something very delicate to touch, the movie does it in a very good way, and the book too. thanks for commenting, I'm waiting for the other posts coming from cinemania. Blessings.
