Land roads | Rainfall + negligence (Part 3)

I come to resume my series on Roads as I had promised in the past days and as I had offered in the last publication of this series, today we will address the problems caused by the rains added to the social and governmental indifference. That is to say, after having talked to you and shown you the friendly side of the land road system it is the turn of the problems that surround it and that affect us all as a society.

The inconveniences suffered by the streets, whether paved or dirt, do not escape the reality in any of the so-called social strata. In all countries of the world, developed or developing, the same difficulties are seen, only the incidence and magnitude varies, as these may be greater or lesser. Depending on the responsibility with which official management is handled as well as individual and social zeal, we will have roads worthy of the 21st century.

I can not fail to mention my country Venezuela and today I give as an example the poor state of its road system in general, being the saddest thing the high position it occupies as an oil producing nation. Paradoxical and regrettable reality.

Of course, I will focus on the damage caused by the rains and all the accumulation of water poured on the streets, avenues and all roads. However, we cannot leave aside the bad treatment that the roads receive from us as a community and from the public entities.

Vengo a retomar mi serie sobre Vialidad como había prometido en días pasados y tal como había ofrecido en la última publicación de esta serie, hoy abordaremos los problemas que acarrean las lluvias sumado a la indiferencia social y gubernamental. Es decir, que luego de haberles hablado y mostrado el lado amable del sistema vial terrestre le toca el turno a los problemas que la rodean y que nos afectan a todos como sociedad.

Los inconvenientes que sufren las calles, ya sean pavimentadas o de tierra, no escapan de la realidad en cualquiera de los llamados estratos sociales. En todos los países del mundo, desarrollados o en vía de desarrollo, se ven las mismas dificultades solo que varía la incidencia y la magnitud, pues estas pueden ser mayores o menores. Dependiendo de la responsabilidad con que se maneje la gestión oficial así como el celo individual y social, tendremos vías dignas del siglo XXI.

No puedo dejar de mencionar a mi país Venezuela y hoy pongo de ejemplo el mal estado en que se encuentra su sistema vial en general, siendo lo más triste el alto puesto que ocupa como nación productora de petróleo. Paradójica y lamentable realidad.

Claro está, que me enfocaré en el daño que ocasionan las lluvias y toda la acumulación de agua vertida en las calles, avenidas y en todos los caminos. Sin embargo, no se puede dejar de lado el mal tratamiento que reciben las vías de nuestra parte como colectividad y de los entes públicos.

As we already know, at the time of planning and construction of all land transport routes it is a rule that these must be adapted to the accidents of the terrain but must also be safe for vehicles. So far, it all sounds very good, but not all vehicles are able to travel on roads in poor condition.

Como ya sabemos, a la hora de la planificación y construcción de todas las vías de transporte terrestre es una norma que estas deben adaptarse a los accidentes del terreno pero además debe ser segura para los vehículos. Hasta aquí, todo suena muy bien, pero no todos los vehículos están capacitados para transitar por vías de comunicación en mal estado.
