En el Día del Arbol | Asombroso Samán y maravilla de la naturaleza
Saludos respetuoso amigos de @holos-lotus, esta es mi primera publicación en su distinguida Comunidad y la he elegido para presentar una reflexión por celebrarse hoy 29 de mayo en Venezuela el Día del Árbol y aunque esta fecha es en honor al Araguaney, por ser declarado árbol nacional un día como hoy, yo he traído unas fotos del árbol de Samán o Samanea saman, el cual también es una especie importante de la vegetación venezolana.
A lo mejor mi post parece más adecuado para otra comunidad, pero en realidad los árboles nos dan enseñanzas asombrosas y otros beneficios además del oxigeno necesario para la vida. Por eso estoy aquí en esta comunidad que promueve el crecimiento personal para hablar del arból de samán, por ser un simbolo importante en mi estado Aragua que merece nuestra admiración.
¿Cómo olvidar al emblemático Samán de Güere? El samán cumple un papel importante en la gesta histórica del Libertador Simón Bolívar al servir de resguardo a las tropas del ejército que libró la guerra de independencia en nuestro país. Por eso me animé a presentar una reflexión acompañada de unas fotos que encontré y conservé porque son muy especiales al ser de algunos arboles de samanes que se encuentran cerca de mi casa en el estado Aragua, Venezuela, por cierto el samán es usado como símbolo de esta entidad.
En el sector donde está mi casa hay muchos samanes, entre adultos y jóvenes pero me impresiona su gran follaje y fortaleza para resistir una larga vida de cientos de años. Lo que me hace meditar en la naturaleza que permanece viva a pesar de la dura golpiza que recibe a diario por nuestra culpa y ella sigue fiel como la buena amiga que es regalándonos tantos beneficios para la vida y además por si fuera poco, esta magnífica vista entre destellos de colores a través de las ramas de este frondoso árbol de samán gracias a los rayos del sol mañanero.
Greetings respectful friends of @holos-lotus, this is my first publication in your distinguished Community and I have chosen it to present a reflection because today May 29th is celebrated in Venezuela the Day of the Tree and although this date is in honor of the Araguaney, for being declared national tree on a day like today, I have brought some photos of the Saman tree or Samanea saman, which is also an important species of Venezuelan vegetation.
Maybe my post seems more appropriate for another community, but in reality trees give us amazing teachings and other benefits besides the oxygen necessary for life. That is why I am here in this community that promotes personal growth to talk about the saman tree, because it is an important symbol in my state of Aragua that deserves our admiration.
How can we forget the emblematic Samán de Güere? The saman tree plays an important role in the historical feat of the Liberator Simón Bolívar by serving as a shelter for the troops of the army that fought the war of independence in our country. That is why I decided to present a reflection accompanied by some photos that I found and kept because they are very special as they are of some saman trees that are near my house in the state of Aragua, Venezuela, by the way the saman is used as a symbol of this entity.
In the area where my house is there are many saman trees, between adults and young ones, but I am impressed by their great foliage and strength to resist a long life of hundreds of years. What makes me meditate on nature that remains alive despite the hard beating it receives daily because of our fault and she remains faithful as the good friend who is giving us so many benefits for life and also as if that were not enough, this magnificent view between flashes of colors through the branches of this leafy saman tree thanks to the rays of the morning sun.
Estas fotos son para glorificar al Samán, un árbol fuerte y legendario, que sin duda hay que proteger porque es lo menos que debe recibir de nuestra parte. Imaginemos por un momento a este árbol seco, sin follaje, sin las aves que viven en el y las que lo visitan alegrando el vecindario con sus cantos. Cierra los ojos y piensa en el panorama. No sé que viste tu a través de tus pensamientos aunque creo que coincidimos en que realmente lo que se ve es una tragedia ecológica, pero luego de pensar en ella hagamos nuestra parte para evitarla y no me refiero solo ha proteger este árbol de samán sino a todos los arboles sin importar su especie.
These photos are to glorify the Samán, a strong and legendary tree, which without a doubt must be protected because it is the least it should receive from us. Let's imagine for a moment this dry tree, without foliage, without the birds that live in it and those that visit it and cheer up the neighborhood with their songs. **I don't know what you saw through your thoughts but I think we agree that what you see is really an ecological tragedy, but after thinking about it let's do our part to avoid it and I don't mean only to protect this saman tree but to protect all trees regardless of their species.
Miren el tronco fuerte, con sus diferentes ramas, que como brazos se alzan queriendo alcanzar el cielo. También lo veo como una muestra de su imponencia majestuosa, como parte de su naturaleza valiente y resistente, pero dispuesta a dar con sencilla humildad oxigeno y reducir el dióxido de carbono en la atmósfera, aunque no siempre reciba reconocimiento.
Look at the strong trunk, with its different branches, like arms reaching for the sky. I also see it as a sign of its majestic imposing nature, as part of its brave and resistant nature, but willing to give with simple humility oxygen and reduce carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, even if it does not always receive recognition.
Pero su utilidad va más allá, pues desde su frondosidad regala sombra y también ayuda a resguardarse al reino animal que ronda por los rincones de aquel lugar.
But its usefulness goes beyond that, because from its leafiness it gives shade and also helps to shelter the animal kingdom that roams the corners of that place.
Recuerdo que no me cansé de tomarle fotos a este árbol que además nos sirve para la creación de diversos muebles, accesorios y utensilios. Maravillosa madera de samán con muchas propiedades al servicio de la humanidad. Gracias por quedarte quieto para muchas fotos más.
I remember that I never got tired of taking pictures of this tree that also serves us for the creation of various furniture, accessories and utensils. Wonderful saman wood with many properties at the service of humanity. Thank you for staying still for many more photos.
Ya en otro lugar de mi vecindario, visualizo dos arboles de samán más jóvenes. A pesar de estar en la flor de la juventud ya se podía ver el desarrollo alcanzado. Vaya que serán arboles de gran valor por muchos pero muchos años más. Aunque también se pueden ver algunas mutilaciones sufridas.
In another part of my neighborhood, I visualized two younger saman trees. In spite of being in the prime of their youth, you could already see the development they have reached. They will be trees of great value for many, many years to come. Although you can also see some mutilations suffered.
Pero bastó acercarme para ver como estaba herido uno de ellos. Esto era solo una parte de los sufrimientos que tenía que pasar este joven samán, pero en esta ocasión por la fuerza imponente de la misma naturaleza que con furia, domina incluso a los arboles más fuertes en medio de los vientos que en algunas épocas soplan con mayor descontrol.
But it was enough to get closer to see how one of them was wounded. This was only a part of the sufferings that this young saman tree had to go through, but this time by the imposing force of nature itself that with fury, dominates even the strongest trees in the midst of the winds that in some seasons blow with greater uncontrolled.
Sin embargo existen otras heridas que son muy graves y son las causadas por la mano del hombre. En este caso el árbol sirve de fogón estando vivo. Suena tan dantesco pero así era el sufrimiento de ese joven árbol.
However, there are other injuries that are very serious and are caused by the hand of man. In this case the tree serves as a fire while alive. It sounds so Dantesque but this was the suffering of that young tree.
Estas acciones avisan sobre la necesidad de una consciencia ecológica.
These actions warn of the need for ecological awareness.
La parte baja del tronco esta hueca y se sirvieron de el sin compasión para hacer una hoguera, no una sino muchas veces para divertirse mientras bebían unas cuantas cervezas los amantes de las malas celebraciones al aire libre. Todo sucedía a pesar de recibir llamados de atención porque lamentablemente las personas que no tienen conciencia ecológica tampoco tienen conciencia de ningún tipo y lanzan amenazas contra quien se atreva a llamarles la atención.
The lower part of the trunk is hollow and they used it mercilessly to make a bonfire, not once but many times to have fun while drinking a few beers, lovers of bad outdoor celebrations. All this happened in spite of being called to attention because unfortunately people who have no ecological conscience also have no conscience whatsoever and launch threats against anyone who dares to call their attention to them.
El árbol a pesar de estar joven y lucir un follaje verde y ramas vivas, su tronco principal está debilitado por dentro y se nota en la madera seca.
Although the tree is young and has green foliage and lively branches, its main trunk is weakened inside and the dry wood is noticeable.
Es sorprendente como estos arboles son tan resistentes hasta llegar a viejos con una apariencia marchita pero fuertes... Asombroso árbol de samán y maravilla de la naturaleza, con sus marcas que señalan las tristezas por las llamas de una hoguera que arde mientras los humanos se divierten.
It is amazing how these trees are so resilient to old age with a wilted but strong appearance.... Amazing saman tree and marvel of nature, with its markings signaling the sorrows of the flames of a bonfire that burns while humans enjoy themselves.
Miré más arriba y puede ver su corteza externa como viva, verdosa, con musgo, como escamas que recubren la corteza interna y realmente es un contraste que hace admirar más a los árboles.
I looked further up and you can see its outer bark as alive, greenish, with moss, like scales covering the inner bark and it really is a contrast that makes you admire the trees more.
Allí está la piel arrugada, escamosa, oscura, como de color verde grisáceo, unida como en placas y cubriendo la pulpa de la madera resistente y dura del samán. Vuelvo a decir... Asombroso árbol de samán y maravilla de la naturaleza.
There is the wrinkled, scaly, dark, grayish-green skin, united as in plates and covering the pulp of the resistant and hard wood of the saman. I say again... Amazing saman tree and marvel of nature.
Del arbol de Samán podemos aprender a tener su fortaleza. Sin importar los sacudones y ataques que recibamos permanezcamos firmes, incluso aunque te recubran las marcas de las duras experiencias sobre tu piel haciéndola lucir marchita, pero por dentro mantente verde, porque lo que importa es tener vida interna.
Así finalizo mi reflexión hoy 29 de mayo Día del Árbol en Venezuela. Sembremos árboles y abonemos el terreno para una mejor conciencia verde, porque los árboles son indispensables para que exista vida en el planeta.
From the Saman tree we can learn to have its strength. No matter what shocks and attacks we receive, let us remain firm, even if they cover the marks of hard experiences on your skin making it look withered, but inside stay green, because what matters is to have inner life.
This is how I end my reflection today, May 29th, Arbor Day in Venezuela. Let's plant trees and fertilize the ground for a better green conscience, because trees are indispensable for life to exist on the planet.
