Por aquí, hemos tenido algunas pérdidas, afortunadamente tomamos medidas para el trasplante de muchas. La lluvia no es amiga de los cactus, muchos han muerto.
Hoy les quiero mostrar la pequeña Echevería del jardín. Está es una pequeña recopilación de fotos que he tomado en varias ocasiones por esto no todas lucen exactamente igual. Las hemos estado reproduciendo desde hace 3 años aproximadamente sin mucho esfuerzo.

Leí en una ocasión que es originaria de México, donde crece habitualmente de forma salvaje y alcanza tamaños impresionantes ¿Imaginan unas echeverias de un metro de ancho? ¡Deben ser alucinantes! Googlee un poco y si las hay de estos tamaños.
Hablando un poco de la nuestra, no se desde cuando está en casa, lo que si se es que desde hace unos 3 años es que vimos su primera flor y comenzamos a trasplantarla y reproducirla, hemos regalado muchísimos de sus hijos.
Acerca de su cuidado, dado a que es una planta con mucha resistencia, durante la época de mucha humedad puede mantenerse perfecta en interiores, se adecua cual planta de interior.

Esta es una Echeveria secunda Booth Ex Lindl 🍀 En nuestro país está especie florece durante el verano. Genera una rama de hasta 30 cm de alto en la cual aparecen flores de cinco pétalos de color rojizo con puntas amarillas. Es muy llamativo.
Al apagarse la flor, cortamos el tallo floral y se mantiene con sus colores fuertes siempre y cuando esté en contacto directo con el sol, sin embargo mucho sol puede hacer que sus hojas se quemen, nosotros optamos por tenerla al lado de una que otra planta que le de algo de sombra, pero que no deje de recibir bastante luz. Un exceso de agua puede hacer que se pudran las hojas (nos ha ocurrido en época de lluvia)

An excess of water can cause the leaves to rot (this has happened to us during the rainy season).

La hemos reproducido por sus hojitas y también por retoños, nada especial en comparación con la mayoría de las suculentas. Sin embargo al manejar las hojitas es importante hacerlo con cuidado, pues he notado que se fracturan muy fácilmente.
We have reproduced it by its leaves and also by shoots, nothing special compared to most succulents. However, when handling the leaves it is important to do it with care, as I have noticed that they fracture very easily.
Sin duda esta es una de mis suculentas favoritas, amo lo fuerte y bonitas que son.
