El sábado amanecí resfriada, me dolía la cabeza y mi nariz goteaba. Apenas me paré de la cama, sentía una pesadez terrible. Esto me sucede cuando viajo de una ciudad a otra y el clima cambia radicalmente ¡Mis alergias! Sin embargo, el sol estaba radiante y teníamos oportunidad de salir en la camioneta así que se nos ocurrió ir a la playa.
Saturday morning I woke up with a cold, a headache and a runny nose. As soon as I got out of bed, I felt a terrible heaviness. This happens to me when I travel from one city to another and the weather changes radically - my allergies! However, the sun was shining and we had a chance to go out in the van so we decided to go to the beach.
La idea era solo ir nosotros y nadar, sin embargo se me ocurrió que podrían ser una buena ocasión para llevar a Annita a conocer el mar. No tenemos la certeza de que ella no lo conozca, pues llegó a esta casa adulta y creo que con ciertos traumas ya que lloró mucho los primeros días, tampoco tenemos idea de dónde venía y que había sido de su vida anterior. De igual manera la llevamos ¿Qué podría salir mal?
The idea was just for us to go and swim, but it occurred to me that it might be a good opportunity to take Annita to see the ocean. We are not sure that she doesn't know it, since she came to this house as an adult and I think with some traumas since she cried a lot the first days, we also have no idea where she came from and what happened in her previous life. What could go wrong with her?

Nunca lleva correa así que lo único que teníamos que hacer era estar pendiente de ella. Claro, es muy dócil, además, tiene un problema visual, es decir que ve muy poco, se guía por nuestras voces. En el camino todo bien, aunque ella estaba muy alerta, supongo que sospechaba que iba a conocer un lugar diferente.
She is never on a leash so all we had to do was keep an eye on her. Estuvo inquieta cuando estábamos llegando a la playa, así que se pasó hacia adelante. Fueron unos 30 minutos de viaje. Yo pensaba en si el sol podría hacerle daño a su piel (sufre de alergias) Pero no paso nada malo.

Al llegar notamos que había muchísima gente en la playa, enseguida decidimos movernos hacia un espacio mas solitario, pero en ese intento nos quedamos atascados en la arena (entramos en arena floja) Mientras nos las ingeniamos por sacar la camioneta Annita estuvo alerta y cerca. Aquí la llevamos cargada, pues la arena estaba muy caliente y ella parecía pasarlo mal.
When we arrived we noticed that there were a lot of people on the beach, we immediately decided to move to a more solitary space, but in that attempt we got stuck in the sand (we got into loose sand) While we managed to get the van out Annita was alert and close. Here we carried her, as the sand was very hot and she seemed to have a hard time.

Cuando llegamos a la orilla de la playa ella comenzó a ladrar, mi impresión fue de que estaba asustada, ahí empecé a cuestionarme si había sido buena idea llevarla. Caminamos un tramo largo hasta alejarnos un poco de la muchedumbre, ella corría junto a mi novio, quería que la levantara. Cuando las olas la tocaban ella corría hacia nosotros.
When we got to the edge of the beach she started barking, my impression was that she was scared, then I started to question if it was a good idea to take her. We walked a long way until we got a little away from the crowd, she was running next to my boyfriend, she wanted me to pick her up. When the waves touched her she ran towards us.
No lo pensamos mucho y optamos por meterla a la playa, queríamos comprobar si le gustaba o no. Me causaba mucha gracia que no quería que la soltáramos, de hecho lo intentábamos pero solo movía las patas delanteras y a los segundos se hundía ¡pobre Annita no sabia nadar! No puedo imaginar lo que sentía al percibir toda esa agua salada, mas el sol, quise creer que estaba inquieta mas que asustada.
We didn't think much about it and opted to pull her into the beach, we wanted to see if she liked it or not. I was very amused that she didn't want us to let her go, in fact we tried but she only moved her front legs and after a few seconds she sank, poor Annita didn't know how to swim! I can't imagine what she felt when she felt all that salty water, plus the sun, I wanted to believe that she was more worried than scared.
Así transcurrió el tiempo y muchas personas tenían que ver con ella, supongo por su aspecto apachurrado, digamos que estar mojada no le sienta muy bien. Yo mientras tanto miraba desde la orilla. Luego se quedo conmigo un buen rato mientras el nadaba un poco. A pesar de que la tenia abrazada y le decía que todo estaba bien creo que lo extrañaba, no dejaba de “mirar” hacia el mar, en un momento se alejo un poco de mi y aproveche de tomarle otra foto.
Time went by and many people had to do with her, I guess because of her squashed appearance, let's say that being wet doesn't suit her very well. I meanwhile watched from the shore. Then she stayed with me for a while while he swam a little. Even though I was holding her and telling her that everything was fine I think she missed him, she kept "looking" towards the sea, at one point she moved away from me and I took the opportunity to take another picture of her.

Rato después decidí sumergirme hasta una pequeña Islita que teníamos al frente, seguía con un ligero malestar y alergia pero ¡El mar lo cura todo! Además era una buena oportunidad de hacer snorkel y ejercitar los pulmones. Mientras fui, Annita se quedo en la orilla, a lo lejos escuchaba sus ladridos, me causaba gracia pero no me podía reír, miraba algunos peces coloridos. Estuve del otro lado unos 30 minutos y a lo lejos miraba (con algo de dificultad) un punto blanco moverse de un lugar a otro. ¡Annita!
A while later I decided to dive to a small island in front of us, I was still feeling a little sick and allergic but the sea cures everything! Besides it was a good opportunity to snorkel and exercise my lungs. While I went, Annita stayed on the shore, in the distance I could hear her barking, it was funny but I could not laugh, I was looking at some colorful fish. I was on the other side for about 30 minutes and in the distance I could see (with some difficulty) a white spot moving from one place to another. Annita!
Cuando regrese la sentí mas activa, le ladraba al mar y corría por la orilla, ya había hecho ambiente o al menos eso parecia 🤭🥰. Mientras tanto, nos preguntábamos e intentábamos descifrar si de verdad lo estaba disfrutando o estaba algo estresada. Dé repente se acerco a nosotros y comenzó a lamernos y se lanzaba en la arena, en ese momento si estoy segura de que estaba feliz. Nos tomamos otras fotos.
When I came back I felt her more active, she was barking at the sea and running along the shore, she had already made some environment or at least I thought so 🤭🥰. Meanwhile, we were wondering and trying to figure out if she was really enjoying it or if she was a little stressed. Suddenly she approached us and started to lick us and jumped in the sand, at that moment I'm sure she was happy. We took some more pictures.
Habían pasado 2 horas, el sol estaba en su “mejor momento” así que decidimos volver. De regreso estaba mucho mas tranquila, creo que se había cansado, al llegar a casa la bañamos y se quedo dormida cual bebe. Al final creo que estuvo bien sacarla y que conociera el mar.
Two hours had passed, the sun was at its "best" so we decided to go back. On the way back she was much calmer, I think she was tired, when we got home we bathed her and she fell asleep like a baby. In the end I think it was good to take her out and let her get to know the sea.
Fue un sábado diferente y particular, me gusta la idea de hacer cosas diferentes de vez en cuando, así sean sencillas y quizá muy cotidianas y normales para otros. Es así como me es fácil hacer de algún sábado común una pequeña aventura.
It was a different and particular Saturday, I like the idea of doing different things from time to time, even if they are simple and perhaps very everyday and normal for others. That's how easy it is for me to make a little adventure out of an ordinary Saturday.
