Solo's weekly picks: Winter
We are just under a month into the winter, and wow its been quite the start. I wish I could say we have seen some snow, but unfortunately it has yet to fall here. But in its absence we have had freezing rain and temps down to around 5F (-15C). Luckily we have not had any burst pipes due to the cold, but many have not been as fortunate as me around where I live.. So lots of repairs made this time of year for many. The forecast has called for snow at least 5 times already but it always fell through and just rained.. lol
My experience is just one, and with Hive we can see many others stories about their winters. Even with it just barely starting many have some good stories to tell.

Getting up early and traveling they have to go out into the wintery cold at 6:30am. It was pretty cold.. but they talk about how it could be worse, as December is over. As it tends to be the warmest of the winter right before new years.

They opened their blinds for the day and were surprised to find snow covering everything. It has been cold there for a few days but not wet, but that changed that morning. Luckily not enough to have to clear the snow away as it was a small amount.

Traveling into the mountains via cable car must be an interesting experience, no snow while they were up there but still had a great time. They gave some tips on traveling their based on their experience which was nice to see.

The village they are in has a thick fog to it in the morning, by the afternoon they walked around but not too much that day. They talk about how their new years went with family but now its over they quite miss the fun times they had.

Going on a hike with their dad they had a good time out in the woods. Getting to see some big Oak trees along with some birds was a cool experience. They set up a small camp fire and enjoyed some hot chocolate out in the woods.
