Right choice of pet dogs
Good day my lovely Hivers and I welcome you ones again into 2022,it's our Year of Possibilities.
Today,I want to enlighten us on the kind of breed of dogs we should purchase or have as pets.

I know most of us have made a decision to get a puppy this year, just as I've made a choice to buy a Rottweiler for a pet,my wife loves to see other peoples dogs but wouldn't like to have one,I've convinced her alot of times but it's not working.
so today,I visited my friend,a vet doctor to give me insight as to what choice of dog I should get regarding my environment.
we live in a storey building, the first flat coming into the compound.

So, talking to him about my problem felt like I was with a therapist finding solution.
I told him I was at the verge of getting a puppy Rottweiler and he asked me the first question:
Have you trained a dog or lived with one before,I said No.
He asked me again, what breed would I like to acquire for myself,I told him a Rottweiler.
He asked if my wife is in support of this specie,I answered No(already feeling dejected).

I had to ask him,why all these questions,he answered me without delays.
He categorically told me that it's not recommended for first- time owners, that rottweiler needs extensive and continuous socialization to be a good family companion. However, this intelligent and confident dog is easy to keep in spite of the size.

Personality:
He said Rottweilers have been selected for guarding and protection work, and this must be kept in mind at all times. Well- socialized rottweilers get along nicely with people, especially direct family (owners) and other dogs, but he specifically specified that males in particular can be a bit aggressive and dominant. Agile and intelligent dogs, they are fully confident enough to act on their own, so they need guidance right from the start.

He said if left to their own devices, rottweilers can become nuisance barkers or diggers, and with their size they are capable of much destruction. Groomed to work, Rottweilers do best with training and jobs to do, even if just as a child's companion. Aggression can be a problem, and this dog is fully capable of inflicting severe damage, so rottweilers do need a firm, patient hand and a knowledgeable owner.....of which I do not possess..... Lol
I asked him, what about their weight size and all?

He gave me specifications like:
Weight Range:
Male: 80-135 lbs.
Female: 70-100 lbs.
Height at Withers:
Male: 26 in.
Female: 24 in.
Features:
Floppy ears (naturally)
At this point,I thought to myself, why would I want to spend my money on almost a killer machine, because that's exactly the words that she'll spue.
At this point,my wife called me on a video call, trust me, when your wife calls you on a video call and you don't answer, you've got something big coming your way.
Fast-forward to how I picked the call, first,I hurriedly asked my friend to give me a puppy to carry, when he came with one,I took the call and she saw it,she was full of awwwwww and this is so beautiful.

I asked her swiftly, can I bring him home, she asked, bring what home?
I answered the puppy ofcourse, but on the other hand my vet friend was giving me a sign not to ask her because what I was carrying was a Chihuahua.......Lol.

Before I left the vet office,I asked about their health challenges,he told me that they're mostly obsessed if not properly exercised.
As I was stepping out of the office,I received a message on my phone DON'T COME HOME WITH WHATEVER YOU WERE CARRYING IN YOUR HAND IN THE VET........I chuckled, didn't reply her and left.
She likes them from afar, likes them when am home with her, outside that, she loves them from afar.
Thanks guys and try to make findings before getting one, bye.
So you’re not getting the dog? Talk to madam na…if you find the right bribe it will work
Ahhhhh, you want to render me homeless?
