How to Climb Karahisar Castle? ⛰️🏯🏰 / Karahisar Kalesi'ne Nasıl Çıkılır? ⛰️🏯🏰

Hello to all of you guys. I like travelling. As much as I can, I like to go to places I have not been before and discover new places. Today, I will tell you about my impressions during my visit to Afyonkarahisar Castle, which I visited for the first time.

Hepinize merhabalar arkadaşlar. Seyahat etmeyi çok severim. Elimden geldiğince daha önceden gitmediğim yerlere gitmeye çalışıp yeni yerler keşfetmeyi severim. Bugün de sizlere, ilk defa ziyaret ettiğim Afyonkarahisar kalesi gezimdeki izlenimlerimden bahsedeceğim.

On our trip to Afyonkarahisar, we first visited the Mevlana Mosque and Museum and the old opium houses. Afterwards, we decided to go to Karahisar Castle, which appears to be huge in front of us. My wife had been here before and knew the difficulty. Although she tried to dissuade me, I was able to persuade her to go up to the castle. Of course, I was calculating that this exit would be very difficult. But since I wouldn't have the opportunity to go up here another time, I gathered all my strength and headed towards the castle.

When I got to the beginning of the castle's stairs, "I wonder if I can go up here?" I was thinking. But the people passing by and going up to the castle encouraged me more.

Afyonkarahisar gezimizde önce Mevlana Camii ve Müzesini ve Eski afyon evlerini gezdik. Sonrasında da karşımızda devasa bir şekilde görünen Karahisar Kalesi'ne çıkmaya karar verdik. Eşim buraya daha önceden çıkmıştı ve zorluğunu biliyordu. Beni vazgeçirmeye çalışsa da ben onu kaleye çıkmak konusunda ikna edebilmiştim. Bu çıkışın çok zor olacağını tabi ki hesap ediyordum. Fakat başka bir zaman buraya çıkma fırsatım olamayacağı için tüm gücümü topladım ve kaleye doğru yöneldim.

Kalenin merdivenlerinin başlangıcına geldiğimde "acaba buraya çıkabilir miyim?" diye düşünüyordum. Fakat yanımdan gelip geçen ve kaleye çıkan insanlar beni daha çok cesaretlendirdi.

While climbing the stairs one by one, we were encountering people coming down from the castle. However, the people descending from the fort were standing by a small bush before coming to the finish and ripping off the brand labels of the water bottles from the bottles and attaching them to the small bush. I didn't understand this very well at first, but I thought people probably hooked it up as a joke or to make a wish.

Merdivenleri birer birer tırmanırken bir yandan da kaleden inen insanlarla karşılaşıyorduk. Fakat, kaleden inen insanlar bitişe gelmeden önce küçük bir çalının yanında duruyorlar ve su şişelerinin marka etiketlerini şişelerden koparıp küçük çalıya bağlıyorlardı. Buna ilk önce çok anlam veremesem de bunu insanların muhtemelen espiri olsun diye veya dilek tutmak için bağladıklarını düşündüm.

Each time I climbed the stairs in this difficult climb, the view below became more beautiful. I often rested and took pictures.

If you are going to climb this castle, you have to risk climbing 600 stairs. I learned that there are 600 steps here from a little girl who went up to the castle.

And finally we had about 50 stairs left and the entrance gate of the Citadel appeared. With a last effort, we climbed the last remaining stairs and finally reached the inside of the Castle.

Bu zorlu tırmanışımda her bir merdiveni çıktığımda aşağıda kalan manzara daha da güzelleşiyordu. Sık sık dinleniyor ve fotoğraf çekiyordum.

Bu kaleye tırmanacaksanız 600 tane merdiveni tırmanmayı göze almanız gerekir. Burada 600 basamak olduğunu da kaleye çıkan küçük bir kızdan öğrendim.

Ve nihayet yaklaşık 50 merdivenimiz kalmıştı ve Kale'nin giriş kapısı göründü. Son bir gayretle bu son kalan merdivenleri de tırmanıp nihayet Kale içine ulaştık.

At the entrance of the castle, there were a few stools and tables next to the walls and there was a beverage seller for those who visited the castle. After taking a drink of water from here and resting for a while, I started to wander around the Castle.

Actually, the castle was not what I expected. I expected old structures inside the walls, but there wasn't much here except a watchtower and a few big pits that I thought were built to collect rainwater. But even so, it was worth it to climb all those stairs. Because the view of the city of Afyon from here was wonderful.

Kalenin girişinde surların yanına birkaç tabure ve masa koyup burada kaleyi gezenlere içecek satıcısı vardı. Buradan bir su alıp biraz da dinlendikten sonra Kale içinde dolaşmaya başladım.

Aslında kale beklediğim gibi değildi. Ben surların içinde eski yapılar olmasını bekliyordum fakat burada bir gözetleme kulesi ve yağmur sularını biriktirmek için yapıldığını düşündüğüm birkaç büyük çukur dışında pek de bir şey yoktu. Fakat buna rağmen o kadar merdiveni tırmanmama değdi. Çünkü buradan Afyon şehrinin manzarası harikaydı.
