Hello Afri-tunes Community, feels good to be back here again and for this week (#82) I'd be doing something really different away from the norm. I'd be performing an original song called "Naija Is Blessed" in celebration of our Independence day which was earlier this week (October 1st)...Happy new month everyone,I pray it favours us all. I know Naija isn't so great right now for almost everyone but then I believe in this country, I'm proud to be Nigerian. Naija is like a shortened form of Nigeria, often a slang used to refer to Nigeria and Nigerians, so by Naija is blessed...I mean Nigeria is blessed. I love my country even though it's not so lovable currently but really We are all we've got. We've got to stand together to make it work.

The song basically talks about how Green our land is and how nations from far and near would come to Nigeria just to experience the beauty, cultural heritage,and bliss. Green signifies fertility which means Nigeria is really fertile and good enough for any and everyone to thrive. Naija is blessed is more like a prayer, because it doesn't seem so right now with the situation of things in the country. It doesn't look like things are working or even going to work but I'm a Nigerian who believes Nigeria would be great again and all those in diaspora would come back home and have no regrets because things would change for the better, and even those who are planning to escape just for a better life elsewhere wouldn't have to go anymore. In the past couple of weeks, I have seen a lot of friends, even family who migrated to other countries just to get a better life, Blame them? No I don't. Everyone wants to be successful, everyone wants to see their work's worth and be able to take care of themselves and family through the work they do, so I understand. But really the rate at which people leave the country on a daily is really alarming and scary.

I'm a patriot who believes in my country Nigeria and her people (Nigerians) and I know very soon we would be great but this can't be done by a group of people. We are all we have, no one else would make it work for us if we don't build it together regardless of tribe,religion. So please let's all come together to make this nation great.Naija is blessed is a really simple song,so please feel free to sing along with me. God bless Nigeria 🇳🇬

Hola comunidad de Afri-tunes, se siente bien estar de regreso aquí nuevamente y durante esta semana (#82) estaría haciendo algo realmente diferente y alejado de la norma. Estaría interpretando una canción original llamada "Naija Is Blessed" en celebración de nuestro Día de la Independencia, que fue a principios de esta semana (1 de octubre)... Feliz mes nuevo a todos, rezo para que nos favorezca a todos. Sé que Naija no es tan buena en este momento para casi todos, pero creo en este país y estoy orgulloso de ser nigeriano.
Naija es como una forma abreviada de Nigeria, a menudo una jerga utilizada para referirse a Nigeria y a los nigerianos, por lo que Naija es bendecida... quiero decir, Nigeria es bendecida. Amo a mi país, aunque actualmente no sea tan adorable, pero en realidad somos todo lo que tenemos. Tenemos que unirnos para que funcione.

Básicamente, la canción habla de lo verde que es nuestra tierra y de cómo naciones cercanas y lejanas vendrían a Nigeria solo para experimentar la belleza, el patrimonio cultural y la dicha. El verde significa fertilidad, lo que significa que Nigeria es realmente fértil y lo suficientemente buena para que todos prosperen. Que Naija sea bendecida es más como una oración, porque no lo parece ahora con la situación que están las cosas en el país. No parece que las cosas estén funcionando o incluso que vayan a funcionar, pero soy un nigeriano que cree que Nigeria volvería a ser grandiosa y que todos aquellos en la diáspora regresarían a casa y no se arrepentirían porque las cosas cambiarían para mejor, e incluso aquellos que planean escapar sólo en busca de una vida mejor en otro lugar ya no tendrían que irse. En las últimas semanas, he visto a muchos amigos, incluso familiares, que emigraron a otros países sólo para tener una vida mejor. ¿Los culpamos? No, no lo hago. Todo el mundo quiere tener éxito, todo el mundo quiere ver el valor de su trabajo y poder cuidar de sí mismo y de su familia a través del trabajo que realiza, así lo entiendo. Pero realmente el ritmo al que la gente abandona el país a diario es realmente alarmante y aterrador.

Soy un patriota que cree en mi país Nigeria y su gente (los nigerianos) y sé que muy pronto seríamos grandes, pero esto no lo puede lograr un grupo de personas. Somos todo lo que tenemos, nadie más haría que funcione para nosotros si no lo construimos juntos sin importar tribu o religión. Así que, por favor, unámonos todos para hacer grande a esta nación. Naija es bendecida es una canción muy simple, así que siéntete libre de cantar conmigo. Dios bendiga Nigeria 🇳🇬
