Erice, an enchanting place full of culture, history and peace surrounded by nature ITA ENG

La nostra vacanza sta per finire, questa è la nostra penultima meta. Siamo ad a Erice, una piccola cittadina arroccata su un monte. A valle, verso il mare, la città di Trapani.

Our vacation is about to end, this is our penultimate destination. We are in Erice, a small town perched on a mountain. Downstream, towards the sea, the city of Trapani.

Puoi girare l'intera cittadina a piedi in un paio d'ore ma in alcuni momenti è impossible non fermarsi a guardare il panorama mozzafiato che si vede da quassù.

You can go around the whole town on foot in a couple of hours but in some moments it is impossible not to stop and look at the breathtaking view from up here.

Guardando il panorama verso ovest si riesce a vedere la città di Trapani, le sue saline vicino al mare e tutta la parte più interna del territorio a forte vocazione vinicola.

Looking at the view to the west you can see the city of Trapani, its salt marshes near the sea and the whole innermost part of the territory with a strong wine vocation.

Guardando verso Nord si erge vicino alla costa il monte cofano, un mix di elementi che rendono questa vista particolarmente bella secondo me.

Looking north, Mount Hood rises near the coast, a mix of elements that make this view particularly beautiful in my opinion.

Il Monte Erice è il più grande in Sicilia, se non consideriamo il Vulcano Etna. Erice città è famosa per il suo affascinante borgo storico, pieno di piccole chiese, il paesaggio panoramico, i dolci tipici e le ceramiche. Qui è ospitato anche un centro di ricerca scientifica.

Mount Erice is the largest in Sicily, if we don't consider the Etna Volcano. Erice city is famous for its charming historic village, full of small churches, the panoramic landscape, typical sweets and ceramics. A scientific research center is also housed here.

Insomma qui c'è un mix di storia di popoli, di conquiste, di fortificazioni, e al giorno d'oggi anche di tanta sicilianità.

In short, here there is a mix of history of peoples, of conquests, of fortifications, and nowadays also of a lot of Sicilianity.

Il parco è molto curato e le zone verdi sono numerose, qui è forte la sensazione di natura e di pace. Intorno alla città, inoltre, c'è un'area boschiva che d'estate regala momenti di ombra e fresco, al riparo dal forte sole.

The park is well cared for and the green areas are numerous, here there is a strong feeling of nature and peace. Furthermore, around the city there is a wooded area that in summer offers moments of shade and coolness, sheltered from the strong sun.

Qui intorno ci sono diversi negozi di souvenir ma anche di cibo tipico del luogo, compresi i dolci! Un angolo per i bambini aiuta anche i più piccoli a godere di momenti piacevoli.

Around here there are several souvenir shops but also of typical local food, including sweets! A children's corner also helps the little ones to enjoy pleasant moments.

Le nostra vacanza di gite è quasi finita, resta ancora un'ultima meta. E non abbiamo affatto voglia di tornare a casa!

Our excursion vacation is almost over, there is still one last destination. And we don't want to go home at all!
