What to Expect from the Daily Pack Articles

Each of these Daily Pack Openings is about 450 words in the template for explaining what Astral Entities is and where to find more information on it. I will discuss every single card I pulled in today's pack in detail making my best, uninformed guesses at how the card will be in the Astral Entities Universe. If you are new to the universe, read below to find out more. If you're already familiar with Astral Entities, scroll on down to What I pulled today for the 500-800 word discussion on today's pack. I hope you enjoy reading this, as I am so excited about this game universe and these beautiful NFT's!!!

What is Astral Entities?

Astral Entities is a universe of games in development by Hella Rad Games @cryptoreaper and @tanzofett that will use the same NFT's available now at https://www.astralentities.com for all their games in the Astral Entities Universe. The purpose of Astral Entities is to release several games with cohesive lore all utilizing the same NFT's. Developers will also have the option of creating in-network official titles and unofficial titles using the NFT's.

There are three games currently in development:

Taergyn

Taergyn is like playing Go with D&D-inspired Fantasy characters with an array of stats, classes, and an epic depth of lore. This is the flagship game of the series and is expected to launch in Q1 2022.

Discordant Adventures

Developed by @kiokizz, is a text-based adventure on Discord. Alpha testing for the program is live now on the discord server, but there is no cryptocurrency attached yet. This will be the first game released with a goal of Q1 2022.

The Hunter's Guild

The Hunter's Guild will be a Gamified staking game with an emphasis on the Gamified. On timed adventures, you will be forced to make several hard decisions that could take twists and turns in this choose your own adventure.

Many, many more games are planned for release down the line with options being developed for developers to create their own unofficial or official games.

What I pulled Today

I'm pretty happy with this pack, and it's fun to see my T3 luck turn around a bit! The Gnome Highwayman certainly has some amazing art too! I'll provide some speculation based on how I suspect the cards might work in the astral entities games when released, but the only thing I can be certain of is that most, if not all, of my predictions, will be woefully inaccurate. I'm also curious to see if the more generalized cards with more even stat spreads and fewer weaknesses will outperform the more specialized min/maxed cards or the other way around.

Human Sage

The Versatile and Studious Human Sage is a T1 Mage with 55 Physical Stat Points, 61 Mental Stat Points, and 57 Sensory Stat Points. His highest stats are 13 Perseverance and 14 Sprint. He seems to be a bit of a defensive mage with all-around strong mental stats and a high sprint score. I'm pretty intrigued by this character tree, and I have high hopes for it. I especially would like to pull the T5 variant, Archmage!

Screenshot 2022-01-07 7.59.30 PM.png

Daemon Conscript

The Wicked and Stalwart Daemon Conscript is a T1 Defender with 60 Physical Stat Points, 58 Mental Stat Points, and 55 Sensory Stat Points. He has a Physical Lean with his highest stats being 14 Endurance, 13 Vitality, and 13 Intelligence. His weakest stat is 10 dexterity, and that becomes weaker in higher tiers. My T5 Fearmonger has 7 Dexterity, so it's a pretty severe weakness at higher tiers. I'm very curious which games he'll excel in and in which games he will struggle the most. Pretty excited about the Daemon Defender tree overall though!

Screenshot 2022-01-07 7.58.41 PM.png

Human Thug

The Versatile and Quick-Fingered Human Thug is a T1 Thief with 55 Physical Stat Points, 59 Mental Stat Points, and 59 Sensory Stat Points. His best stat is 13 Sprint, and his worst stat is 10 Endurance. While many of his stat points are centered in the Mental and Sensory categories, I would suggest he seems more like a generalist with an even stat spread than a specialist. There is a slight lean away from the Physical stats, but 13 of his 15 stats are 11 or 12. He has quite an even stat spread overall.

Screenshot 2022-01-07 7.57.49 PM.png

Orc Grunt

The Furious and Tough Orc Grunt is a T1 Warrior with 62 Physical Stat Points, 52 Mental Stat Points, and 59 Sensory Stat Points. I contend that this card is a specialized physical card that tends to lean towards damage and speed stats. Her highest stats are 14 Might, 13 Agility, 13 Vitality, and 13 Speed. As the adage goes, speed kills, and I certainly see Orc Warriors making an absolute impact on one or more Astral Entities metas.

Screenshot 2022-01-07 7.57.03 PM.png

Dwarf Priest

The Sturdy and Calming Dwarf Healer is a T1 Priest with 60 Physical Stat Points, 58 Mental Stat Points, and 56 Sensory Stat Points. I would consider this a generalist card like the Human Thief we looked at earlier. His highest Stats are 13 Vitality and Wit, and his lowest stat is 10 Speed. He doesn't have a lot of weaknesses, but he certainly doesn't have many strengths either. We'll see!

Screenshot 2022-01-07 7.56.05 PM.png

Gnome Tinker

The Nosey and Distracting Gnome Tinker is a T1 Trickster with 56 Physical Stat Points, 59 Mental Stat Points, and 58 Sensory Stat Points. His highest stats are 14 Dexterity and 14 Wit, and while it's hard to see what this card will be good for, it's really hard to imagine Gnome Tricksters to be bad cards thematically. I can't quite grasp how this card will play out, but I am intrigued.

Dwarf Grunt

The Sturdy and Tough Dwarf Grunt is a T1 Warrior with 14 Vitality and 13 Endurance. He also has no Physical Stats under 12 points for a pretty hard emphasis on Physical Stats. He has 63 Physical Stat Points and 55 Mental and Sensory Stat Points for a very decisive emphasis. Dwarf Warriors and Dwarf Defenders will be very interesting cards to follow, and I'm quite excited about them!

Screenshot 2022-01-07 7.54.29 PM.png

Human Brute

The Versatile and Tough Human Brute is a T2 Warrior with 59 Physical Stat Points, 57 Mental Stat Points, and 59 Sensory Stat Points for a pretty even spread throughout stat categories. His highest stats are 13 Might and 13 Sprint, and his lowest stat is 10 Intelligence. For a T2, this is a very even stat spread, and I would consider him a generalist. Will Human Warriors stack up to the Orc Warriors? Time will tell. I can't wait till the games are out to play with these NFT's and find out.

Screenshot 2022-01-07 7.53.36 PM.png

Elf Sage

The Fleet and Studious Elf Mage is a T1 Mage with 56 Physical Stat Points, 59 Mental Stat Points, and 58 Sensory Stat Points. His highest stats are 13 Agility, Intelligence, and Awareness. His lowest stat is 10 might, but will the pen prove mightier than the sword? Don't mind me nudging knowingly at the artwork behind my computer here. I think fast mages could be interesting, and I'm very excited to see how they play!

Screenshot 2022-01-07 7.52.47 PM.png

Gnome Highwayman

The Nosey and Quick-Fingered Gnome Highwayman is a T3 Thief who has a third ability, Self-Preservation. His highest Stats are 15 Dexterity, 15 Awareness, 14 Agility, and 14 Wit. I am very excited about this card, and he seems to check many of the boxes of the D&D Thieves your DM would reject and make you roll stats for being a Min/Maxing Try Hard. I'll be testing out and trying to get some Gnome Thieves to do some work!
