What to Expect from the Daily Pack Articles

Each of these Daily Pack Openings is about 450 words in the template for explaining what Astral Entities is and where to find more information on it. I will discuss every single card I pulled in today's pack in detail making my best, uninformed guesses at how the card will be in the Astral Entities Universe. If you are new to the universe, read below to find out more. If you're already familiar with Astral Entities, scroll on down to What I pulled today for the 500-800 word discussion on today's pack. I hope you enjoy reading this, as I am so excited about this game universe and these beautiful NFT's!!!

What is Astral Entities?

Astral Entities is a universe of games in development by Hella Rad Games @cryptoreaper and @tanzofett that will use the same NFT's available now at https://www.astralentities.com for all their games in the Astral Entities Universe. The purpose of Astral Entities is to release a number of games with a cohesive lore all utilizing the same NFT's. Developers will also have the option of creating in network official titles and unofficial titles using the NFT's.

There are three games currently in development:

Taergyn

Taergyn is like playing Go with D&D inspired Fantasy characters with an array of stats, classes, and an epic depth of lore. This is the flagship game of the series and is expected to launch Q1 2022.

Discordant Adventures

Developed by @kiokizz, is a text based adventure on Discord. Alpha testing for the program is live now on the discord server, but there is no cryptocurrency attached yet. This will be the first game released with a goal of Q1 2022.

The Hunter's Guild

The Hunter's Guild will be a Gamified staking game with an emphasis on the Gamified. On timed adventures, you will be forced to make a number of hard decisions that could take twists and turns in this choose your own adventure.

Many, Many more games planned for release down the line with options being developed for developers to create their own unofficial or official games.

What I pulled Today

Screenshot 2022-01-04 6.06.14 AM.png

I really can't be mad at this pack. While two T2's and eight T1's isn't exciting, I pulled a T4 two days in a row. I had this pack coming, and I take it with grace and gratitude for the amazing packs I've opened so far. I've been filling out my punchcard for T4's and T5's. I'll start posting that daily too. I don't expect to ever finish the T4 or T5 sets, but a man can dream!!!

Human Wanderer

The T1 Hunter, Human Wanderer, has the traits Versatile and Agile, and is bland as a beige paint smoothie. Perhaps that will be a good thing in one or more of the games, but no stats dip below 11, and only one stat goes over 12 with 13 sprint. He has 57 Physical Stat Points, 57 Mental Stat Points, and 58 Sensory Stat Points. He might be boring to look at, but that doesn't mean he won't be amazing in the game. Time will tell if generalists with even stat spreads or specialists min/maxed stat spreads will fare better in which games.

Orc Grunt

Orcs are easily some of my favorite warriors. They are Physically Min/Maxed without giving up some of the sensory stats that are important in many RPG games. The Furious and Tough T1 Orc Warrior, Orc Grunt, is no exception with 14 Might, 13 Agility, 13 Vitality, and 13 Speed. I imagine this card hitting hard and fast. The Orc Grunt has 62 Physical Stat Points, 52 Mental Stat Points, and 59 Sensory Stat Points, and looking at her top stats and average stat spread really paints the picture of the Speed Demon kind of Warrior I really like to play. She seems very much a Speed/Damage Min/Maxed Specialist, and that's one of my favorite archetypes. If I pull a T5 Scarmonger, I'll probably run around the house cheering, bouncing up and down as I go.

Human Sage

It's funny that I've pulled the T1 variants of two of the T5's I want badly today. The Versatile and Calming Human Sage is a T1 Mage with 55 Physical Stat Points, 57 Sensory Stat Points, and 61 Mental Stat Points. It's really neat to me that not only does he have a very high Mental Stat spread, not the highest of the mages, but that he also has a very high sprint. If years of gaming have taught me anything, speed kills. I really hope to pull the T5 version, Archmage down the line.

Orc Tinker

The Furious and Distracting Orc Tinker is a T1 Trickster with some odd stats. He has 13 Might and Speed with little other cohesive stats besides a pretty good lean into Physical and Sensory Stat Averages. His odd stats may be awesome, but it's really hard to see at this point. I'm not holding out much hope for him despite already owning his T5 Variant, the Pyrist. I might be pleasantly surprised, but I'm not holding my breath on this character tree.

Screenshot 2022-01-04 6.19.36 AM.png

Dwarf Spearman

This pack is a greatest hits of lower tier editions of cards I really want in T5. This is pretty funny. The Sturdy and Stalwart Dwarf Spearman is a T2 Defender with 15 Endurance and 14 Vitality. The Dwarf spearman is very heavily loaded into those two stats and little else-- this is a paragon of physical defense. I have a hard time believing this card won't see any play at all, and I really hope I pull the T5 Hearthguard.

Screenshot 2022-01-04 6.18.44 AM.png

Elf Wanderer

I'm excited to say I do already have this T5 version, the Bowmaster, and I am also very excited about this character tree. This pack is clearly taunting me. The Fleet and Agile Elf Wanderer is a T1 Hunter with 14 Agility and Awareness. His lowest stat is an abysmal 9 Perseverance, but otherwise this line seems to be very well Min/Maxed for stats that seem useful to Hunters. And besides, it would be a CRIME for an Elf Bowmaster to be bad in all the games they release. Tolkien would rise from the dead to scold Tanzo personally for that.

Screenshot 2022-01-04 6.17.33 AM.png

Daemon Grunt

Guess what? It's another T1 variant for a T5 that I really want. The Daemon Grunt is a Wicked and Tough T1 Warrior, and oh boy does the Daemon Warrior line excite me quite a bit! With 62 Physical Stat Points, 56 Mental Stat Points, and 55 Sensory Stat Points, this Physical Specialists checks a lot of the marks I typically look for in a warrior. With 13 Might, Vitality, and Endurance, I wouldn't be surprised if he sees play as a T1.

Screenshot 2022-01-04 6.16.47 AM.png

Giant Trapper

The Massive and Agile Giant Trapper is a T2 Hunter with 14 Might and 13 Speed and Vitality. She's very interesting, and I'm hopeful. Some of the higher tiers do seem to take away from some of the stats I would imagine are critical for Hunters, but she might still be amazing. Judgement is out still with no games released, but I am intrigued.

Screenshot 2022-01-04 6.15.45 AM.png

Dwarf Grunt

The T1 Warrior, Dwarf Grunt, is a Sturdy and Tough Physical Specialist with 63 Physical Stat Points. Another card I'm intrigued on but holding out judgement. He is strongly Physically Min/Maxed which I love, but so few games pull of the defensive warrior who isn't a tank well. Will an Astral Entities game become one of the exceptions? I would love it if it were the case, but for now I am cautiously optimistic.

Screenshot 2022-01-04 6.14.52 AM.png

Gnome Tinker

I pulled the T4 variant of this card yesterday, and I would love the T5 Artificer still. This is a great card to end on with many of my favorite character trees in this pack already. With great downsides and great upsides, I'm still cautiously optimistic, or at least I'm trying to be cautious about my blind optimism. The Marksman and the Artificer may be the two Gnome T5's I'm most excited about. Time will tell.

The Nosey and Distracting Gnome Tinker is a T1 trickster with 14 Dexterity, 14 Wit, and 13 Awareness. His lowest stats are 9 Might and 10 Vitality. It's an interesting and bizarre spread of stats for sure.
