It's Indian Summer here for this #wednesdaywalk by @tattoodjay

These argiopes all come out during our Indian Summer. They cover the buildings and the bridges and are quite large but harmless.

Running back from Chicken Planet back to work lol. It's a place that only sells chicken with only a couple sides.

These food trucks show up all over downtown but it's hit and miss with quality. My mind always goes to "is this possibly dog meat in this taco?".

Nice 70s and 80s era buildings all in a row.

The lunch rush in the heat is kind of crazy here. Better to bring a lunch but I forgot mine today.

Lots of cycles and scooters around. But traffic is so slow in the city you may as well walk these things to the next stop light.

1000007028.jpg
Just a desolate alleyway. I think the federal reserve building is off in the distance to the right.

1000007027.jpg
The Sears Tower is now called the Willis Tower. Big hub of tourists always swarming around it.

1000007026.jpg
Darn tweaking teens always sticking things where they don't belong.

1000007030.jpg
Illinois did some kind of ban on these electric bicycles. Maybe they can go around harvesting them and the poor commuter would be left walking home.

1000007023.jpg
Free stuff from the office today, a strange chocolate.

1000007022.jpg
And powerful coffee which I can't drink. Maybe I'll give it to my wife.

1000007021.jpg
Beans too!

That's all for now, thanks for looking :-)

There's really a lot of things to see when you start walking. Have a great day!

I ran a business that had to have a food licence once. I really had trouble getting the food inspector to come in for an inspection. He wouldn't return calls or emails. Finally I went to his office and just camped outside until he would see me. When I got to see him (after a LONG wait), he was surprised I had a storefront and quickly scheduled an inspection. He muttered something about seems like theres a food truck behind every bush these days. That was the nicest thing he had to say about food trucks 😳 After that long tangentially related story... I have had some great food out of food trucks 😆

Yeah my mother used to always warn my dad about Mexican food trucks as he was a contractor and they would always park by jobsites. She was Hispanic and didn't trust what they were putting in the burritos lol. Perhaps some chihuahua carnitas with extra spice to hide the dog meat flavor.

The spiders were my models on the walk today.

I used to ride the water taxi on the river and that thing was covered in big fat spiders like this. Sometimes they would repel out of the boat's rafters onto commuters. Thankfully web spiders don't usually bite people.
