Wednesday Walk - Hot Chicago
It's hot in Chicago for this #wednesdaywalk by @tattoodjay

These angels are otta here, too hot better fly off to the north pole.

Some of these old buildings have bad AC, I feel for those working in the ancient buildings.

The opposite is true for the modern buildings, you need to wear a sweater inside since they crank up the ac.

All my female coworkers actually have big fluffy blankets they wear inside lol.

I can handle both the heat and the cold so I'm not bothered by a hot lunchtime walk or a refrigerator of an office.

I wonder how the corner office guys feel getting blasted by the sun all day in this building?

I suspect all this humid summer heat will lead to massive thunderstorms.

All the pigeon nests embedded in the El train will get flooded by downpours.

Lots of construction is happening in this heat as well. Better keep hydrated if you're working outside.

Or you could just go to a dark corner pub and slam back a few cold ones.

Now a bit of old vs. new on opposite sides of the street.

Most the theater buildings are quite old and I'm sure they don't have their AC turned up either.

They don't decorate buildings like they used to. I suspect this bronze cast is from the roaring 20s.

I like the buildings that offer some shade, also good for blocking the rain.

Now the next day it did end up raining and the temperature is nice and perfect in the 80s.
That's all for now, thanks for looking :-)
Great city shots and so true about the buildings in summer
I must be getting older I feel the heat and cold more these days
Thanks for joining the Wednesday walk
Have a great day
Yeah you end up needing winter clothes for summer inside because of the AC. One of my docs said your thyroid keeps body temperature in order so anything to help it should help with temp regulation ie nascent iodine.
good info I will look that up :)
What a contrast between the old and modern buildings! Some have things that others don't, such as air conditioning or antique decorations. It seems like there's no middle ground, since your colleagues have to use blankets at work because it's so cold...
I loved your tour and, best of all, the photographs of the buildings and their reflections. The last one in particular is spectacular. I hope the angels reach the North Pole. Best regards!

Ah yeah rain and fog makes everything look interesting. I think there is a huge contrast due to the chicago fire that wiped out lots of old buildings. Thus we have a range of really modern and old.
The contrast is fascinating and beautiful, I loved it!
