Wednesday Walk - Flooding
The lake is nice and abandoned after it flooded. Mainly because now it stinks like fish.
The lake got so high a bunch of these guys got beached. Nothing seems to be eating them either.
Squirrel is annoyed about the heat and the smell.
Geese better watch where they are chomping on grass. Otherwise they'll get a mouthfull of rotten fish.
I suspect quite a few raccoons also drowned. They tend to live in the city storm sewers then get washed out when we get a deluge.
Now for a bigger nicer lake. We took our daughter to swim in lake Michigan. The water was perfect.
People and their cars lol. This person watched barbie the movie too much. They just need the jeep eyelash kit.
Meanwhile at the farm the flooding has cause the sheep to become really muddy. I wonder if this somehow cools them down during summer? A layer of caked mud becomes their sunblock.
Of course the pigs love it too, what a mess.

Raccoon with green fly as an eye! that straight up horror movie stuff there lol hows the beach on Lake Michigan? on Lake Champlain they are obsessed with cyanobacteria during the summer. Lake Michigan probably has more water movement
Yeah poor racoons think the storm sewer is a good hiding place, then they all get drowned and wash up in weird places. The flies are loving it. Lake Michigan fortunately has a few secluded beaches not around sewers where the bacteria doesn't grow. They did have to shut down Indiana Dunes because of some factory toxic chemical dump a while back. We'll see how many floating data centers end up on the lake to constantly cool them in the future.

The flood really did a bunch in that area. I'm surprised a bunch of fishes are dead since they're aquatic animals.
I still feel sorry for that poor racoon
