Wednesday Walk - Fall Colors
Fall is just starting around here for this #wednesdaywalk by @tattoodjay
Mid-morning is the best to go out for the lighting on fall colors. This time I only had my zoom lens so most of the photos are close-ups.
Some of the invasive vines are changing a nice red color.
Mostly its the maples that are changing to various hues of yellow and red.
I'm hoping this year most of the leaves will change all at the same time so there will be loads of color in the forest. Usually its the red maples that lose their leaves first then other maples and then a few spattering of holdouts change and there is only a few colorful trees at once.
This looks like some kind of Asian maple. Nice deep reds and tiny leaves.
The oak trees have more rusty red coloring and the acorns are piled up on the ground everywhere for the rodents to collect for winter.
The red maples are looking nice and bright against the still green oaks and maples.
Other photographers are everywhere trying to catch the start of the colors.
Here's some bright orange against the clear blue sky.
And finally another red maple nestled in between other green trees. Hopefully this next weekend we'll have tons more color in the forest.
That's all for now, thanks for looking :-)
It’s my favorite time of the year. I agree about mid-morning being the best for shooting. You get the best lighting which is mild and just right.
You really captured those orange and reds well. Those maple leaves are so beautiful. The deep red colors are my fav ~
It is a fun time of year, we're gonna press a few of these leaves for later. If you soak them in glycerine and dry and press them they retain their color.
I never knew that. So cool!
All you need is an old heavy book to put the leaves in between the pages. Then the leaves will dry paper thin after about a month or so.
That's awesome! 👌🏽
Oh darn! Those colorful leaves of Autumn was so beautiful! 😍
Hopefully we'll hit peak color this next weekend.
How I wish we have autumn here too!
You must be in the jungle where there is no winter.
Nice splashes of color. Good luck catching some big shots. We are definitely winding down here.
It will probably peak around this weekend, lots of rain and wind so hopefully that will help the color.
So beautiful… love the fall colours 🍁🍂🍁🍂🍁
Great captures! Have a lovely Wednesday 👋🏻😊
Definitely time to start pressing some leaves.
Yes it is 😊
each and every one of the photos are so beautiful the light is spot on
I go for my walks to early to get good photos of the lovely fall colors
Thanks for joining the Wednesday Walk :)
Pre noon light seems to be best for leaf light. Now we're having nothing but gray days so light will be an issue.
I was just driving back from a Doctors appointment for my wife and now seeing a lot of the trees are starting ot look very bare I think the colors will fade away quickly
What I like most about autumn are its colors and the cool weather. What a beautiful and colorful Wednesday walk dear friend @sketch.and.jam I love your photographs, I appreciate you letting us know
have a splendid day
So far only a few trees have turned I'm hoping these won't lose their leaves by the time the rest change.
