Wednesday Walk - Commuter Scenes
Here are a few shots from my walking commute for this #wednesdaywalk by @tattoodjay
I've been catching an earlier train lately as the baby usually wakes us up at 530. So instead of trying to get another hour of sleep I go into work earlier. Looks like the weather is finally turning into winter here.
Its finally getting super cold here too. Just gotta stand here and wait for the train. Half frozen and half asleep.
About mid-way into Chicago the sunrise brought out some nice colors.
Amazingly there was no snow downtown. Just a bit of mistly sleet. The buildings are nice and ominous in this type of weather.
Oomph the grafitti is piling up on this life saver box next to the bridge. You can barely see it under all the layers.
At least the building I work in isn't covered in stickers and grafitti.... yet...
Now on my way back to the train station is is raining. I like how the light reflects off the slightly frozen wet street.
Now back in suburbia it is still snowing. We have quite the microclimates around here. Some days being near the lake will cause extreme cold but other days suburbia gets all the cold.
That's all for now, thanks for looking :-)
Funny how its snowing out where you live and not in the city, I remember when I was commuting seeing the sunrise from the train and wishing i was out somewhere taking photos of it LOL
Thanks for joining the Wednesday, its always fun for me to visit the walks from all around the world, getting a feel for communities where people live and what they see on their daily walks
The city rarely gets hit by snow but when it does people always get stranded on lakeshore drive. Better have a nice sleeping bag, food and water if that happens. I should have slept in a bit to catch the sunrise off my balcony rather than the train.
I can imagine, NYC would come ot a grinding halt if they got hit with snow as well
Up in the morning and off to work. Nice day in the life post. Sunrise looked pretty.
Baby alarm clock is working out on a schedule finally.
Wow! Great photography 😊and the images are superb. Thanks for sharing. ❤️
Thanks for looking, i like the ominous weather in the city for almost monochrome photos.
Thanks @ewkaw :-)
Wowza. What a commute!
That's really special. And amazing footage. 👀💥
Not sure I could do that every day... it looks like a long journey! But I would LOVE to do it one time. 👣
The trick is catching the express train then its only 40 min. The commute is also the time I get to post on hive lol.
Well you most certainly are good with time management!
