Wednesday Walk - Chicago Spiders

Here are a few city spiders for this #wednesdaywalk by @tattoodjay

I took all these shots this morning on my walk to work. These orb weavers were all over the city.

Their webs are covering all the nooks and crannies of the city infrastructure.

Other commuters are probably wondering why I am giving so much attention to the scary looking spiders.

There is plenty free real estate for them to setup their webs. This el train structure must have thousands of spiders on it.

Even the traffic signs are suitable for the spiders.

I caught this shot under some construction scaffolding.

Then there was this plump beauty on the side of a corner bakery window.

This one was lurking under one of the bridges on Wacker Ave.

All the planters have webs in them. These spiders get plenty of flies and moths to eat.

This one setup her web under the Trump building. It has a good view of the Chicago river below.

Here is a big scrunched up spider on some decorative grass.

From the other side it kind of resembles a face hugger from the movie aliens.

The windows are also covered in weird little moths. I suspect many of these guys end up in the spiders' webs.

Look at the nose on this weird moth.

With all these little insects hanging around the city it is easy to forget about the large buildings towering above you.

Happy #wednesdaywalk

Nice Wednesday walk! I haven't seen one featuring spiders before. Makes me understand that spiders will endure long after those towering buildings are gone.

They will love the building ruins as structures to make their new webs on.

I like your spiders but what I like the most about them are their eyes. Today I did not see a single eye.
I liked the sharp nose of the moth.

The web building spiders have very tiny eyes, I would need to catch one and bring it back for my macro lens. I'll have to look up what that pointy nose moth is lol.

All those spiders are construction spiders, wow.
The moth has that very interesting nose. An aquiline nose would say the Canadians hehehe
