Sketch Sunday

Just a marker sketch on #sketchsunday

This is a mixture of Copic fineliner markers and extra wide Ohuhu alcohol markers.

Later I added some highlights with some acrylic pens.

There are also some water markers added here and there for some additional texture as fine lines.

Thankfully the black Copic fineliners didn't smudge like standard micron markers.

In the end this took about a couple of weeks here and there. I would add little parts to it at work while on conference calls and whatnot.

Overall it looks a bit like some kind of elaborate rug you would throw into a modern minimalist apartment or something like that.

Now it will be time to animate it.

I took about 100 or so process photos of it on my cell phone as I was drawing. We'll see how good it looks as the markers expand over time.

Maybe as part of the animation I'll wrap it on some geometry to see what happens to it in 3D.
