Riot Fest Chicago - The Hu

Just got back from Riot Fest in Chicago and got to see my favorite Mongolian Metal band The Hu. They did an amazing job. Have to love those Morin khuurs and throat singing. They also had two drummers and a tovshuur player as well as an electric guitar and bass in their band. Sometimes they even bring out a bamboo flute and jaw harps in their songs.

WOW! They're just as good live! That's a rare thing these days.... Saw 10 Years a couple of times, and they were like that. Sounded live just like they do on the album.

They had an interesting kick/tom drum bass thing going on that sent shockwaves out into the crowd.

They are pretty good live. I almost drove up to Milwaukee to see them in their own venue rather than a big musical festival. But riotfest turned out being good enough.

That's a concert worth seeing! I can just imagine what they sound like live!

They had their audio setup pretty good for a live event. It was loud but not too much white noise as many loud bands tend to have live.
