Feathered Friday - Swamp Ducks
Here are a load of swampy ducks for this #featheredfriday by @melinda010100
I found the place where wood ducks hang out.
They only seem to come out while its dark and there are many families hanging around this marsh.
Here you can see a couple different families feasting on duck weed.
Sadly I would need some fly fisherman pants to wade out for closer shots of these shy ducks.
They really like hiding in the reeds making shots difficult to take.
Here are the usual mallards at the lake near my house. They all come out in the evening to eat acorns on the ground.
Here is a different swamp full of mostly mallards and some great egrets.
Quite a few ducks were out in this different swamp. I've even seen beavers hanging around here though I have not been successful at getting a good shot of one.
The only other critter I could get a clear shot of was this young bullfrog.
That's all for now, I have to try wading out in these swamps for closer photos sometime... Happy #featheredfriday :-)
very fun place for ducks to play
With all the duck weed infestation they can eat all day and still have plenty of food.
It would be good to watch them there to rest my mind. I hope there is no attacker under the water.
Their only predators would be from the shoreline, probably a foxes or hawks.
Or a human.
We just hunt them for photos and good poses.
hahaha.lol.
I was surprised to see the picture of the frog.
But it's a really cool picture.
I'm surprised it didn't jump away like all the other frogs.
Yea, I just saw in the photo you can be surprised to see it, this is weird hahaha, Lol.

I wish the wood ducks would come out when it's sunny so I could get their color better.
