4th of July Parade Sightings

Here are a few sightings of a 4th of July parade that goes by my balcony every year.

Red, white and blue is all over the place over here.

What would a parade be without the shriners.

Shriners like to ride tiny cars, motorcycles, horses and classic cars.

They typically have to ride around in circles and circles as the parade goes too slow for them.

Now for a random pirate ship, I think this is some kind of organization that raises money for disables children.

Plenty of locals bands like to jam out on their own floats as well. These guys played a mix of classic rock songs.

This must be from an antique car association.

Quite a few different old models of vehicles drove by on display.

It must be quite a chore keeping these old cars in tip top shape for once a year parades.

These parades are fun for kids as all the different people in the parade throw candy out. All sorts of children run out to scavenge the treats.

The star of the parade are the Jesse White Tumblers.

They setup a trampoline then run and jump off of it into the air and do multiple flips before landing on the soft padding.

I was able to catch a few of their aerial acrobatics.

Flippy flip flip.

And another takes a run at the trampoline.

He barely cleared the little kid at the top.

Here's the rifle drill team and their sound equipment providing the soundtrack to the flag wavers and rifle twirlers.

They spin the flags to the music and do various dances.

Here are the rifle twirlers, they will throw them high up in the air while dancing then catch them without missing a beat.

Here's the police band with bagpipes and percussion to closeout the parade. There were many other pieces to this parade but I think this post would be way too long to include all the bands and miscellaneous smaller floats. Anyone can basically join these parades and you get some really strange small organizations just carrying a banner looking kind of haphazard compared to some of the ones featured here.

That's all for now, thanks for looking :-)

Yep. Looks like a 4th of July parade 🤣 Shriners, police with bagpipes, local flag twillers. I think best in show goes to the massive rolling boom box 🤯

Haha that thing was loud, if I ever got mega rich I would have one of those rolled around behind me to play a custom soundtrack.
