☕ Zus Coffee: My First Coffee Adventure in Kuala Lumpur
Hello, Coffee Lovers and friends of the Cinnamon Cup of Coffee community!
After a tiring journey, I finally arrived in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. As a true coffee connoisseur, the first thing I must do in a new city is, of course: find an interesting local coffee spot!
My destination fell on one of Malaysia's rising local coffee chains: Zus Coffee. I'd heard of it many times, and this time was the perfect opportunity to try it firsthand.

A Calming Minimalist Aesthetic

The moment I stepped into the Zus Coffee outlet, I was immediately greeted by a calm and eye-catching atmosphere. The interior design is truly pleasing to the eye and perfect for those of you who enjoy minimalist photography.

The predominance of clean, bright whites makes the room feel spacious and airy. The contrast comes from the touches of gray on the chairs, which add a modern and sleek feel. And of course, the most eye-catching color is Zus Coffee's signature blue, applied to the logo and the writing on the walls. This color combination creates a fresh, comfortable, and very calming atmosphere. Honestly, I felt comfortable lingering here, enjoying the vibe, far from the hustle and bustle of the city.
Taste Challenge: Orange Americano

After admiring the design, it was time to focus on the menu. Amidst the many choices, my eyes fell on one that sounded unique and promised freshness: the Orange Americano.

I know, the combination of coffee and orange might sound unusual to some, but curiosity always wins! And when my order arrived, I was captivated before I even had a chance to taste it.

The appearance of the drink was truly captivating. The dark, rich coffee liquid blended with the bright orange of the orange juice at the bottom. The difference in density created a very contrasting color gradient between the two liquids—truly beautiful and Instagram-worthy! Visually, this drink had already won me over.
A Refreshing (and Addictive!) Taste Surprise
So, what about the taste? I took a slow sip after stirring it a bit.

Wow.
This blend was a pleasant surprise!

The coffee used has a fairly strong and bold flavor. This is important, because the strong coffee flavor anchors the citrus flavor so it doesn't overpower the orange flavor. Furthermore, the coffee's flavor blends perfectly with the orange juice.

The orange juice is refreshing, not too sweet, and has a slight touch of natural acidity. This just-right sweetness and acidity keeps the citrus freshness from overpowering the bitter notes and aroma of the coffee. The balance between the bitterness of the coffee and the freshness of the orange is truly refreshing.

I daresay, this Orange Americano could be the perfect choice for those who want to enjoy coffee but also crave a refreshing and energizing taste. This drink is perfect for drinking on a hot day, providing an energy boost and a cooling sensation.

My first encounter with Zus Coffee in Kuala Lumpur left me with a very sweet (and slightly sour, from the orange!) impression. Not only is the place aesthetically pleasing and comfortable, but the unique menu also successfully provides a new coffee experience.

How interesting! I just read another post about the same café, but the stories are completely different and surprising, and that's the wonderful thing about us as humans: our perspective.
I haven't had coffee with orange, but I've tried it with ginger, lemon, and Nutella, all hot. Cold, only the classics.
Wow, I never had coffee with ginger, but I also had coffee with lemon. Thank you for reading my blog 😊
