World Photography Contest Round 33 - Lighthouses of the World
Going home from San Francisco we passed by the Pigeon Point Lighthouse. Passing by the coastal highway of State Route 1, you will not fail to notice it, with its height of 115 feet tall and white tower. It is situated on top of a cliff and with a beach down below… it is a picturesque sight. This photo was taken before its ongoing renovation.
Built in 1871 it is still guiding ships on California’s Pacific coast.
