[ESP/ENGL] Cinco sabios refranes venezolanos (Trigésima Cuarta Parte) // Five wise Venezuelan sayings (Thirty-fourth Part)
Generalmente, en los mercados populares, estos mercados de víveres que existen en cada pueblo y ciudad de Venezuela, a donde asisten personas a comerciar sus productos, hay ventas de pollos y gallinas vivos, y cuando los vendedores tienen animales que están en malas condiciones, viejos o con bajo peso, los venden a un precio aún más bajo; de allí que este refrán se utilice para señalar que algo es muy barato, que está a la venta a un precio inferior al que generalmente tiene. También se emplea para señalar una buena oportunidad de hacer negocios o de hacer una compra.
No estoy muy de acuerdo en que un caldo recalentado sea menos sabroso que comerlo el mismo día, todo lo contrario, puede concentrar sus sabores y tener mejor gusto al día siguiente; sin embargo quien dijo este refrán por primera vez, de seguro no le gusta tomar caldo recalentado, pues con este refrán se intenta decir que una vez rota una amistad, y al ser nuevamente retomada luego de una reconciliación, las cosas ya no serán igual otra vez, habrá cambiado la energía y la confianza entre los amigos.
Los gavilanes son aves rapaces y sus presas por lo general son pájaros más pequeños, así que éstos están en constante vigilancia para no ser la comida de un gavilán. Con este refrán se intenta decir, que al desaparecer alguien negativo o amenazante de un entorno, los demás sentirán gran alegría y estarán tranquilos.
Es bien sabido que lograr una buena mezcla entre aceite y vinagre, es imposible, no homogenizan, no se unen; por lo que al utilizar este dicho, se intenta señalar la incompatibilidad entre dos personas o entre dos asuntos, es como si fuesen mutuamente excluyentes.
Es un refrán similar al que dice: “Al que a buen árbol se arrima, buena sombra le cobija”, por tanto, con este refrán se resalta que la compañía de buenas personas puede ser muy positiva y beneficiosa para nosotros, ya que a través de tal cercanía, obtendremos generalmente cosas positivas.

I do not agree that a reheated broth is less tasty than eating it the same day, on the contrary, it can concentrate its flavors and taste better the next day; however, whoever said this saying for the first time, surely does not like to drink reheated broth, because with this saying is intended to say that once a friendship is broken, and when it is resumed after a reconciliation, things will not be the same again, the energy and trust between friends will have changed.
Hawks are birds of prey and their prey are usually smaller birds, so they are constantly on the lookout for a hawk's meal. This saying is intended to mean that when someone negative or threatening disappears from an environment, others will feel great joy and will be calm.
It is well known that to achieve a good mixture between oil and vinegar, it is impossible, they do not homogenize, they do not unite; so by using this saying, it is intended to point out the incompatibility between two people or between two subjects, it is as if they were mutually exclusive.
It is a saying similar to the one that says: "Al que a buen árbol se arrima, buena sombra le cobija", therefore, with this saying it is highlighted that the company of good people can be very positive and beneficial for us, since through such closeness, we will generally obtain positive things.

In my country, we have a lot of sayings like this and we have hundreds of proverbs which we use in everyday's discussion.
The interpretation you give to each of this makes it to sound even better especially the part about broth and friendship.
