Top 5 FREE "LIFE HACKS" For HEALTH

Glasses and Hat.jpg

Born with a physical disability, to a mother who felt abject hatred for me, while drowning in chronic anxiety and self hatred, along with being a victim to, at the very least, a highly questionable, (with demonstrable evidence of criminality), health system, I've had to take my mental, emotional, physical and spiritual health into my own hands.

The fact is...we all do.

So buckle up, because you're endowed with the power to author - i.e., BE the Authority in your life - and these TOP 5 "Life Hacks" For Health are your Foundation of Empowerment.

💪🤓💪🤓💪🤓💪🤓💪🤓💪🤓💪🤓💪🤓💪🤓💪🤓💪🤓💪🤓💪🤓💪🤓💪

1). BREATHE💨

I know everyone knows this, and, at the same time it's surprising how often we forget to do it. So take a deep breath; write a note and post it somewhere to remind to you do it again, and again; and consider a form of mediation you're drawn to, even if it's simply laying down, relaxing, breathing, and picturing and/or thinking of things that feel good to you.

One of my FAVORITE video documentaries to learn and be inspired by by, not only around breathing exercises, but also in regards to the Super Powers that our Bodies - our Temples of God - are capable of, is The Superhuman World of Wim Hoff: The Iceman

WOW! Right!?! Yeah. Breathe, and get on watching this video after reading this post!!💪

💪😎💪😎💪😎💪😎💪😎💪😎💪😎💪😎💪😎💪😎💪😎💪😎💪😎💪😎💪

2). HYDRATE💧

Again - we all know this.
BUT...do we do it everyday?
Not likely.
Studies show, most people are chronically dehydrated.
Studies also show that most "dis-ease" comes from lack of O2 & H2O in our cells.

I talk about my Easy Tricks for good HYDRATION in this 5 minute video:

3). SLEEP 🥱

I realize this is a no-brainer...but...is it?

Many people keep late night schedules, thinking that it doesn't effect their health.

  • Did you know that each hour of sleep BEFORE Midnight is worth 2-3 hours of sleep AFTER Midnight according to Chinese Medicine?
  • Did you know that our bodies do most of the brain and cellular repair work at night while we sleep?
  • Did you know that if you refrain from eating 4 hours before bed your body produces HGH (Human Growth Hormone) which is beneficial for: advance loss of body fat; enhanced muscle growth; increased exercise capacity; tougher bones; improved cognitive abilities and mood, and much more.
  • Did you know our natural Circadian Rhythm is in sync with the sunrise and sunset; and that we feel better, and get more done, rising early than sleeping late?
  • Did you know you eat more staying up late, (and wake up sluggish), than when going to sleep early (and waking up revitalized)?

Sleep is a natural healer. When we're in sync with life's natural rhythms we are supporting ourselves with the divine forces created for optimal wellbeing.

4). GROUNDING👣

Ah...Grounding - the benefits of which you might be less familiar.

Nature has an electro-magnetic field, like a battery, that relaxes, stabilizes and invigorates our bodies.

Standing on the Earth with bare feet:

  • REDUCE STRESS
  • RELIEVES PAIN
  • DETOXES THE BODY
  • IMPROVES MOOD & CIRCULATION
  • PROMOTES RESTFUL SLEEP
  • GIVES ENERGY
  • REDUCES INFLAMMATION
  • REDUCES UNBENEFICIAL ELECTROMAGNETIC FREQUENCIES (EMF's), and more.

This is a lovely article by a physician about Grounding:

5). SPINAL CARE🗝️

While seemingly esoteric, Spinal Care is not only easy, it's fundamentally vital for overall health.

"If you would seek health, look first to the spine." - Socrates

The deformity I was born with - hip dysplasia - caused my neck and back to regularly go out of alignment, causing excruciating pain and laying me up for days at a time.

After years of this sorry scenario I had to develop something to keep this from happening...which I did...and I use what I like to call my PowerDowel© from which I developed easy and effective techniques for maintaining spinal alignment, and much more!

The great thing about using the PowerDowel© - (a broomstick from which the brushes are unscrewed), anyone can do it anywhere. And like all of the remedies for wellbeing listed in this post it's FREE!

Here is a video of my quick 5 minute POWERDOWEL refresher:

So much good info. And not just info we need to be made aware of but also we need to be reminded of it. Grounding bare feet on the earth feeling the grass beneath you, yes I agree we need to do this often. I also try to get regular walks in bare feet along the beach. So good for the soul. The hours sleep before midnight topic I agree with 100% also. As regards the spine - yes, yes, yes. Have you heard of Neuro Kinetics? I've been treated with it and have even taken a course on it to learn the basics as a practitioner. More info: https://philiprenfreynaturaltherapist.com.au/services/neurokinetics/ - I took the course through this guy. The touch is so light you hardly feel it but after a 30 min treatment you feel like you have had a full on massage. In a nutshell, various points of the body where nerve endings attach to the skeleton are lightly touched & respond with messages to the brain (telling it something is wrong) and it (the brain) over the next 24-48 hours or so goes to work realigning your spine. You have to be treated with it to understand the benefits. When I first heard about it and even during my first treatment I thought it was quackery but I was convinced of the benefits over the next few days as my spine would crack itself back into place as if by magic.

Wow @Davidtron
That sounds amazing.
It reminds me of limbic touch. I'll look into it.🙂

I'm heartened to hear you go barefoot. Like you say, "good for the soul".
Thank you so much for adding your valuable information to this post.
I hope many will be inspired and find benefit, as well ask questions if more information is needed.😃

Informative one,
You know recently I have overcome my sleeping problem. I was having a terrible time with my sleeping cycle. I would keep the rest of the points in check for sure.

Thank you for sharing @Minhajulmredol.
And for the blessed moniker you gave me that I hope to live up to.
May I ask how you overcame your sleeping problems?
That is quite a feat. Congratulations, strong and resilient one.

May I ask how you overcame your sleeping problems?

Yeah sure.
I overcome it the hard way.

First of all, I would suggest others do something that would make them physically tired. You know, I was a lazy head. I used to remain home throughout the whole day, even if had to go out for hangouts I had bikes for transportation.

My mom fell sick and she had to go through a major operation. From the starting of January, I had to run here and there for different purposes, after the stress of the entire day I was so tired that I had no time for staying awake. It continued for weeks.

Stayed away from using Pc or mobile phones at night because I had no time and now I can easily skip using them and go to bed.

Used to have a lotta coffee at midnight, I skipped that too.

Made my mindset to wake up early every day, I go for Bazar as mom is on bed rest so it has now become a habit for me to wake up, even I have the willingness for a morning walk too.

So this is it, sorry for the long story. In short, make our body tired by doing something that it will have no extra energy to stay awake at night.

@Minhajulmredol

Thank you for your willingness to share with us.

My heart goes out to you and your mother. I hope she is recovering well from her major operation. With your love and support she must feel the comfort she needs for healing; and be eternally grateful to you for it.💖🙏

I'm thankful that you gave us the "long story". It's very informative and inspiring. I believe many people are faced with the challenge of sleeplessness. And that they do the things you used to do, compounding the problem: not getting enough exercise; coffee at midnight; using Pc and/or mobile phones at night. These habits can deteriorate us...and, can be challenging to shift.

Indeed, you had the injury of your mother that required you to change. As is often said, "God works in mysterious ways" - your mother's injury saved your life, as you are saving hers.

When we get out of balance too far in one direction the nature of life is to swing the pendulum back in the other direction.

Balance is Key.🗝️

If someone reading this is looking for more support to create habits that will nurture your Temple of God plz reach out. Together we are stronger.

Thank you again @Minhajulmredol. I wish you and your (fortunate-to-have-you) mother, love, abundance and wellbeing, now, and for all time.

Blessings🌺

Despite I know that those helps, practicing out is a challenge. I am currently in the journey of switching my sleep cycle again. Usually those things you mentioned helps but these days, I have to find other ways just to help me sleep.

Despite I know that those helps, practicing out is a challenge.

True, I used to feel the same and kept holding onto it for a long time.

As I mentioned I changed it the hard way. Situations had put me in such circumstances that there was no way of escaping from that.

Still some pieces of advice:

  1. Search for the bad effects of this problem and read the horrible outcomes as much as you can, this would push you to take a decision to avoid this as early as possible.

  2. Occupy yourself officially to something for which you must get out of bed early and it would balance the other part easily.

(When I was in my teenage my mom used to send me to teachers on the morning batches in spite of the evening ones available. So I had no way back, engage yourself in something like that if you can.)

@macchiata, thank you for sharing your challenges (more on that below).

@minhajulmredol, thank you for your kind response to her, and sharing more practical wisdom. Like you said, continuing to keep in mind the destructive effects of bad habits is very beneficial for inspiration to change, as is creating something to rise early for to help change the pattern of staying up late.

@yahialababidi, thank you for reblogging this post.

🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷

@macchiata - advice here is good, and, at the same time we may not have landed on the particular key(s) you need. Would you be willing to share more of the specifics of the challenge with lack of sleep you're facing?

Do you have insomnia?
Do you have anxiety?
Are you eating before bed?
Can you put your finger on the specific challenges you are facing?

  • I have found bioavailable vitamin B complex good for nerves. As well as herbals such as valerian or kava kava, nettles, oat straw and chamomile, coupled with calcium and magnesium before bed to help relax me, and give me better sleep even if I don't sleep for a long time.

  • Exercise before bed is very good too.

  • Deep breathing exercises (like those found in the Wim Hoff documentary above) are exceptionally helpful.

  • Giving yourself extra sleep to catch up if you can so that you might be able to wake up earlier. For instance, stay in bed all day reading on Sunday so you're extra rested to get up early the next day.

  • Do you have a "buddy" who also needs more sleep that the two of you can form a support system for each other?

  • Can you bathe with magnesium salts before bed?

If you could do anything to help yourself, what would it be?

🌷I hope to support you in finding solutions that can bring about successful sleep for you.🌷

Those are something I did in the past. These days I just pop some melatonin and 5htp. To get me fix my sleeping cycle again, all I need is just motivation. That's the main issue I think.
