The construction continues at Tim’s cabin……….
Having an off grid cabin on top of a Mountain has its beauty……….and it’s challenges!
Water can be a problem in the Pacific Northwest!
Silvertop doesn’t it rain a lot!😅
Yes and no……….
Summers CAN be extremely dry, and remember we sit on a Mountain range that was born from volcanic uplift.
Some land has beautiful black top soil, and only a few steps away it can be bedrock that stretches for miles!🤔
It can be extremely difficult also to drill a water well!😮
The underground water storage tank you see in the second photo, is being filled today by the water truck you see in the first.
The gravel road leading up to the water tank is extremely steep!
When Silvertop and Liz first started hiking, we would need to stop halfway up and rest before continuing!😅
Nowadays our “goal” is to never stop until we reach the top!🤗
I hope the water truck driver had the same goal………….
Don’t stop till you reach the top!😳
I think the construction workers know “ Time is of the essence!”😇
Today’s high was 72 degrees, and a weather front is moving in quickly!
Crazy huh………
I was just telling @runridefly we had 100 degrees and 80 percent humidity a few days ago Lol!🤣
Tomorrow’s high is again 72 degrees with 50 percent change of rain.
Nice hiking weather!🤗

What about you and Liz? What water system do you have?
It's interesting that with a Volcanic mountain some land is bedrock, and some topsoil or sand. Jan and her husband just built their home next-door to us five years ago and they have a 300 foot water well, and had to have an underground water tank added because they have run out of water several times.....
We have a 296 foot deep artesian water well, that even in very dry Summers is almost full to the top!😀
Neighbors have told us we have one of the best water wells on the street!😇
