Thrift shopping has been around for a very long time, and has really been a life saver for some of us because of how affordable they usually are, and sometimes when luck is on your side you could find a treasure.
For those of us who aren't familiar with the phrase thrift shopping, it is the shopping or buying of used items like clothes, household items, toys, shoes etc. Not only are these items affordable, but they also serve sustainability purpose by reducing the amount of waste in the environment, if it's in good shape, why can't it be used by some other person.
While in the University, there was this market that was close to the campus, it was a very big market, and was called 'Choba Market'. The interesting thing about this market is that it has special market days, let me explain, on Non-market days, the market usually looks some what dry or deserted, but come on the days when it's a market day, you wouldn't believe the difference, it's usually as if the market literally sprung to life.

Here in our place, farming is the major source of livelihood. Way back in our childhood days and teenage days, we used to go to the garden to help our parents plant, cultivate,remove weeds,apply fertilizer, watering plants and harvest.
During vacation, we look for uncles and aunties that has a garden and we go to work and earn money.
But nowadays, we can't have a garden as main livelihood due to no owned land to cultivate. But we still jave a backyard gardening. Here in the Philippines, we are experiencing el niño in which we experienced shortage of vegetable supplies in the market and so expensive.
The Municipal Nutrition Council in coordination with our Barangay Council, they encourage is to establish our own backyard garden. Indeed,Backyard gardening helps a lot since, we are assured that our vegetables are free from harmful chemicals and will help us in sourcing out budget for our daily needs.In our backyard, we had camote, banana, calamansi, ginger, taro, pechay and beans.We also sell some to our neighbors and deliver some to store owners.and in the market.
Right now, we have camote or the sweet potatoe, we sell the camote tops.

I am convinced that it is destiny that always leads me down the path of gardening, I have had to take responsibility in this area because the garden of the house was left unattended and I had to take care of it, it has not been an easy task as gardening involves effort and work, but little by little I have been learning about how to plant to the point that recently has awakened an interest in planting, I have a project to carry out soon in this area such as sowing some short-cycle crops such as chives, paprika and tomatoes to start with, so I am in the process of learning the cultivation techniques so that everything goes well and I can harvest successfully.
As for flowers, there are some flowers called Bella Las Once, these flowers have captivated me since I was little and played with them, the funny thing is that they sleep and wake up or bloom from eleven o'clock in the morning and hence its name, they have a variety of colours, so collecting them by colour is a joy.
Planting is an excellent therapy that disconnects us from the hectic world we live in and connects us with nature, this undoubtedly reduces stress and relaxes us, besides the earth is a great relaxant for me, smelling and feeling it is very pleasant and makes my day.

Gardening is a very beautiful art that connects you with mother earth, few of us have the joy of having an ideal space to have a garden, some because they live in apartments, their home is limited, ie, not very large land, lack of vital liquid (water) or simply inexperience, in my case the last 2, I have enough space, although I have no knowledge in the care of a garden, such as what are the main characteristics that must have the land where to plant each species of plants, what tools I need and which is the ideal, what type of fertilizer or nutrients is necessary, what is the ideal technique for the care of the same.
I know that with patience and inquiring with people who have knowledge of the subject I can learn, seeing it from that point of view could have that ideal site, but I think my biggest challenge is to have the water resource, this if it is scarce, it is up to almost 2 months without arriving the vital liquid and when they enable the water supply usually have breakdowns in the pipes cutting the cycle of the same and buy it through tanker trucks is expensive, so every drop counts, I know that my dream will be fulfilled in the not too distant future🙏 .

Wherever it has corresponded to me to be, there with love I have forged my home, always accompanied by my green oasis, where its kind adaptability has allowed it to adjust to the conditions, without undermining its presence. It is not a whim, it is for me a necessity, it is part of my adoption, of my healthy lifestyle, because it has a positive impact on my health.
The contact with nature is an elixir that comforts me, and generates tranquility and balance to my senses. But my convulsive daily life does not always allow me to enjoy it to its fullest. However, gardening as an activity has contributed favorably to my physical and mental well-being.
Venezuela, my country, has a tropical climate with two periods during the year, one dry and the other rainy. Although there are different macro and microclimates, in the area where I currently live its temperatures range between 34 and 38 °C approximately between 93 and 100 °F, so my garden is adapted to these conditions of temperature and humidity, I have some seasonal fruit plants (banana and papaya) but predominantly ornamental plants, always taking into account for its cultivation that can flow in these conditions. Some in pots, others in soil, depending on the peculiarities of the plant, this allows me a better distribution of liquids and nutrients, in addition to facilitating their management and care.
