The best learning I have learned from a woman has been from my mother, she comes from a peasant family where my grandmother had no education whatsoever, totally illiterate, she was only raised to do household chores for others, and likewise from other generations. My mother comes from a family of 11 siblings, being the youngest, my grandmother decided to leave her to one of her sisters in the village so that she could study and have a life different from hers, she was left to her fate when she was only 6 years old, under the care of an aunt who only mistreated her because she was of "low level", My mother got ahead and is the only one of 11 siblings who broke the pattern and graduated from university and is a professional, my mother is a teacher in Integral Education, she is currently doing a postgraduate degree and continues to work in everything she can.
She is the most cheerful, intelligent and astute woman I have ever met, besides being the best mother in the world, loving to excess, attentive, helpful, all the good qualities that can exist physically, emotionally and morally lie in my mother. What better learning than that.

Growing up, I use to think my mother hated me, and we didn't have the best of relationships. Probably it's the African style of discipline she adopted.
Being a child in the typical Nigerian home, especially those of us born in the 90s and earlier, we know how strict our parents can be with parenting.
Nobody has time to be advising you, they also were not knowledgeable about time out and other subtle way of parenting. To our parents back then, beating a child always does the trick and somehow it works too.
Beating (especially flogging) and Punishment was like a culture amongst African parents especially in my country Nigeria.
It is also a cultural heritage in every Nigerian home that the first child automatically becomes the deputy parents.
So as the first child, you get double of everything; The flogging, the punishment, the responsibilities, the blame and the treats.

Mom studied at the university always accompanied by us. We didn't have any family around, just mom and dad. Dad worked, and mom studied. So, since we were girls, we couldn't stay home alone, until I reached adolescence and was able to show my mother that she was responsible to take care of myself and my sister.
I watched Mom studying for college while she made lunch. No matter how many things she had to do or think about, she had time for us. She asked us how school was going, and even today she continues to ask us how things were going every time we get home.
She is one of those women we colloquially call "all-terrain", she took care of her home, her family, studied and worked. Honestly, I don't know where she got so much energy for it. But that fact that I observed since I was a child taught me that nothing is impossible, and that the only obstacle is ourselves.

Talking about the mother daughter relationship, I was just thinking about it recently I never knew I would write about it so soon my mom is my friend,in fact I am her go to person and bestie because I look so much like her and this has made us bond so well.
My mom is it very hard working loving caring and most importantly she's a teacher in nature she has never thought in a school or anything but she's a teacher in nature My mom made it easy for me to speak most times whenever I'm going through a lot she's the one she's the first person I talk to at first white green up nice to be scared of her because of the ratios child and correctors but later as I grow up and I became wise am I discovered that she's the number one person in my life she's very accommodating whenever there is something that is bothering me and I go to her I get a solution.

One of the most beautiful and significant moments I have with my mother was when I had to choose the college career I would do, which is not easy at all. At that time, I wanted to study integral design, but, when you enter a registration system where you enter the different careers that you can or want to study; that system gives you 3 results, where depending on the academic index or the quota of the career, you can even be selected in 1 or all of them.
At that time, I was selected for the career of Bachelor of Fine Arts, and the other I wanted at first, it was mandatory to make an internal census. At that time, my mother advised me to study the first two semesters of that career where they are giving me a place and then, if I wished, I would change, so that I would not lose this opportunity. I hesitated a lot, I was sad, my mother did not insist at any time, but told me that any choice would be fine, as long as I studied and got a degree, everything was fine.
