LAS MANCHAS QUE MARCARON MI VIDA // HISTORIA DE VIDA [ESP-ENG]
Saludos, mis apreciados lectores y apasionantes escritores de esta gran comunidad de #WritingClub. En esta ocasión les vengo a narrar una historia de vida que he tenido la oportunidad de experimentarla desde muy cerca, sin más preámbulos aquí se las desarrollo.
Amanda es una niña de aproximadamente 11 años quien vive con sus padres Ángela y Luis y su pequeña hermana de 6 años Valentina, hace algunos años se mudaron al vecino país Colombia en busca de poder establecerse económicamente, debido a que en Venezuela no se sentían totalmente a gusto.
Esto fue idea de Luis quien tenía familiares allá y le pintaron todo un mundo de colores, ilusionándolo con un sueldo muy jugoso y el por obvias razones no soporto la tentación y decide emigrar con su esposa y pequeñas dos hijas.
Para ese entonces Amanda tenía unos 8 años y ella en diferentes ocasiones les expreso a sus padres que no quería irse de su actual hogar y mucho menos aun lugar totalmente desconocido para ella, pero sus argumentos no fueron válidos para sus padres quienes estaban muy determinados a emprender su nuevo camino.
Cuando llegaron a Colombia las cosas no resultaron como se las habían planteado, no tenían ni siquiera un trabajo, por lo que tuvieron que hospedarse en casa de unos familiares quienes no fueron nada agradables y considerados con ellos.
Esto lo podía evidenciar la pequeña Amanda, quien se pasaba días llorando a solas en el fondo de la casa y les suplicaba a su querida madre Ángela que volvieran a su antiguo hogar que ella no quería vivir allí y no se sentía nada cómoda con su nuevos familiares, su madre no contaba con la solvencia económica de poder devolverse por lo que no podía cumplir con esta petición de su hija.
Pronto Luis encontró un trabajo y pudo alquilar una humilde casa a su esposa e hijas, lo cual calmo un poco la incertidumbre de Amanda por unos días, hasta que luego volvió con la insistencia a su madre que se devolvieran a Venezuela que ella extrañaba mucho su tierra natal que aun cuando no tenían todas las comodidades en ese pequeño lugar ella era muy feliz.
Pero ninguno de sus padres le dio la importancia respectiva al estrés emocional que estaba sufriendo Amanda, solo pensaban que era parte de un berrinche de niña malcriada y nada más. Luego llego el proceso de inscripción escolar y Ángela decide inscribir a Amanda a cursar sus estudios de primaria en aquel pueblo desconocido, pero ella estaba muy renuente en asistir a clases.
Sin embargo, quería muchísimo a su madre y accedió a su petición, en el colegio se la pasaba muy sola y callada y no jugaba a la hora del recreo con nadie, su maestra algo preocupada cita a sus padres y le informa sobre la conducta de la niña, ellos solo se excusaron diciéndole que esto era consecuencia al cambio ambiental y que pronto ella lo asimilaría todo.
Así pasaron los meses y Amanda culmino sus estudios exitosamente, pero no se relacionó durante todo el año escolar con nadie de su escuela, se le podía notar la tristeza en sus ojos, no era una niña completamente feliz, después de ello Luis quedo sin empleo y toman la decisión de volver a Venezuela, situación que emociono muchísimo a la pequeña Amanda.
Iniciaron este largo viaje de regreso a su país natal y una vez establecidos en este nuevo camino de su vida, Amanda comenzó a presentar unas pequeñas manchas en su piel que de inmediato llamaron la atención de Ángela, pero solo pensó que podía ser resultado del cambio de ambiente.
Con los días estas manchas se fueron intensificando en diferentes partes del cuerpo y aun cuando sus conocidos le indicaban que esto no era algo producto del cambio de ambiente, Ángela hacia caso omiso a los comentarios, tenía miedo de afrontar la cruda realidad.
Pasaron algunos meses, 6 para ser más exacto y es allí donde comienza su preocupación por el número de manchas que ya estaban presentes en el cuerpo de su hija, debido a que parte de su cabello también se estaba tornando blanco y su niña apenas tenía 11 años, esto no era algo normal.
Hasta que decide visitar una dermatóloga y sin muchos rodeos la doctora le dijo lo inevitable e impostergable, la pequeña Amanda estaba presentando síntomas muy aparentes al vitíligo, esto hizo entrar en un estado profundo de shock y desesperación a la madre de la niña, no podía creer lo que la doctora le estaba exponiendo, sale muy molesta del consultorio médico y decide buscar otras opiniones medica al respecto.
Donde quiera que fuera la opinión médica era la misma, que la niña tenía vitíligo y que debía comenzar con aceptarlo ella y ayudar a su hija desde el punto de vista emocional. La niña entro en un fuerte estado de depresión donde no quería salir de su casa, no quería estudiar, mucho menos socializar con otros niños y todo ello por miedo a que la gente la mire y sea señalada en la calle por su apariencia física, solo por ser físicamente diferente.
En todo este proceso su padre se mantuvo al margen, hasta que un día Ángela exploto y decide confrontar a su pareja y culparlo por todo lo sucedido, ya que él había sido quien había tomado la iniciativa del viaje a otro país, todo esto en presencia de Amanda y Valentina, quienes estaban muy asustada por la fuerte discusión que se presentaba entre sus padres.
La discusión fue entrando poco a poco en calor y las niñas lloraban de la desesperación, hasta que Valentina intervino en la discusión y se le lanzo llorando a los brazos de Luis y le suplico a su madre que dejara de tratar de esa manera al padre.
Ángela reacciono y calmo un poco los ánimos, se encerró en el cuarto con Amanda y juntas lloraron por un largo rato, luego se secó las lágrimas y le pide disculpas a su esposo por culparlo de la enfermedad de la niña.
Valentina es una niña muy pegada a su padre Luis y el en todo momento le demuestra con cariño y afecto su amor por ella, situación que ha dejado de hacer con su hija Amanda desde hace mucho tiempo, de hecho a la hora de salir a realizar alguna diligencia lo hace es con Valentina, Amanda siempre se queda en casa encerrada en su cuarto muy triste por su apariencia, siente que se avergüenza de su aspecto y esto le ha hecho un poco más difícil su proceso de afrontar el vitíligo.
Ángela por el contrario mantiene un equilibrio en la demostración de afecto de sus 2 hijas y para donde quiera va sale con las dos, lo único es que siempre le compara todo tipo de ropa y accesorio que le ayuden a Amanda a ocultar sus manchas cada vez que salga a la calle, sin darse cuenta la está perjudicando lejos de brindarle un apoyo emocional que le ayude a sentirse bien consigo misma y dejar de temer al que dirán de la sociedad.
Ella piensa que esa es la mejor forma de apoyar a su hija en este nuevo proceso de su vida, sin darse cuenta que para que su hija se pueda sentir cómoda en el sector donde vive primero deber ser reconocida por ella misma y por sus familiares, para que al salir a la calle no le de importancia alguna a las miradas y susurros de aquellas personas que aún no cuentan con la madurez necesaria de ver y reconocer a personas con el vitíligo.

Greetings, my dear readers and passionate writers of this great community of #WritingClub. On this occasion I come to narrate a life story that I have had the opportunity to experience it from very close, without further ado here I develop them.
Amanda is a girl of approximately 11 years old who lives with her parents Ángela and Luis and her little sister of 6 years old Valentina, some years ago they moved to the neighboring country Colombia in search of being able to establish themselves economically, because in Venezuela they did not feel totally at ease..
This was the idea of Luis, who had relatives there and they painted a whole world of colors for him, illusioning him with a very juicy salary and for obvious reasons he could not stand the temptation and decided to emigrate with his wife and two small daughters.
At that time Amanda was about 8 years old and she expressed to her parents on different occasions that she did not want to leave her current home and much less to a place totally unknown to her, but her arguments were not valid for her parents who were very determined to embark on her new path.
When they arrived in Colombia things did not turn out as they had planned, they did not even have a job, so they had to stay with relatives who were not at all nice and considerate to them.
This could be evidenced by little Amanda, who spent days crying alone in the back of the house and begged her beloved mother Angela to return to her old home, she did not want to live there and did not feel comfortable with her new relatives, her mother did not have the economic solvency to be able to return, so she could not comply with this request of her daughter.
Soon Luis found a job and was able to rent a humble house to his wife and daughters, which calmed Amanda's uncertainty for a few days, until he returned with the insistence to his mother that they should return to Venezuela, that she missed her homeland very much and that even though they did not have all the comforts in that small place she was very happy.
But none of her parents gave any importance to the emotional stress Amanda was suffering, they just thought it was part of a spoiled child's tantrum and nothing more. Then came the school enrollment process and Angela decided to enroll Amanda in elementary school in that unknown town, but she was very reluctant to attend classes.
However, she loved her mother very much and agreed to her request, at school she was very lonely and quiet and did not play at recess time with anyone, her teacher, a bit worried, called her parents and informed them about the child's behavior, they only excused themselves saying that this was a consequence of the environmental change and that she would soon assimilate everything.

They started this long journey back to their home country and once they were established in this new path of their life, Amanda began to present some small spots on her skin that immediately caught Angela's attention, but she only thought it could be a result of the change of environment.
As the days went by, these spots intensified on different parts of her body and even when her acquaintances told her that this was not due to the change of environment, Angela ignored their comments, she was afraid to face the harsh reality.
A few months went by, 6 to be more exact, and that is where her concern began due to the number of spots that were already present on her daughter's body, because part of her hair was also turning white and her daughter was only 11 years old, this was not something normal.
Until she decided to visit a dermatologist and without many detours the doctor told her the inevitable and unpostponable, little Amanda was showing very apparent symptoms of vitiligo, this made the girl's mother enter into a deep state of shock and despair, she could not believe what the doctor was exposing, she left the doctor's office very upset and decided to seek other medical opinions on the matter.
Wherever she went the medical opinion was the same, that the girl had vitiligo and that she should start with accepting it and helping her daughter from the emotional point of view. The girl went into a strong state of depression where she did not want to leave her house, did not want to study, much less socialize with other children and all this for fear of people looking at her and being singled out in the street for her physical appearance, just for being physically different.
Throughout this process her father stayed on the sidelines, until one day Angela exploded and decided to confront her partner and blame him for everything that had happened, since he had been the one who had taken the initiative to travel to another country, all this in the presence of Amanda and Valentina, who were very scared by the strong argument that arose between their parents.
The discussion was gradually heating up and the girls were crying with despair, until Valentina intervened in the discussion and threw herself crying into Luis' arms and begged her mother to stop treating her father that way.
Angela reacted and calmed down a bit, she locked herself in the room with Amanda and together they cried for a long time, then she wiped her tears and apologized to her husband for blaming him for the girl's illness.
Valentina is a girl very attached to her father Luis and he always shows her his love for her with affection and affection, a situation that he has stopped doing with his daughter Amanda a long time ago, in fact when he goes out to run an errand he does it with Valentina, Amanda always stays at home locked in her room very sad about her appearance, she feels ashamed of her appearance and this has made her process of dealing with vitiligo a little more difficult.
Angela on the other hand maintains a balance in the demonstration of affection for her two daughters and wherever she goes she goes out with both of them, the only thing is that she always compares all kinds of clothes and accessories that help Amanda to hide her stains every time she goes out, without realizing it, she is harming her far from providing emotional support to help her feel good about herself and stop being afraid of what society will say.
She thinks that this is the best way to support her daughter in this new process of her life, without realizing that for her daughter to feel comfortable in the area where she lives, she must first be recognized by herself and her relatives, so that when she goes out on the street she does not give any importance to the looks and whispers of those people who do not yet have the necessary maturity to see and recognize people with vitiligo.

Tener una enfermedad en la piel siempre es difícil. Porque son catalogadas como extrañas y muchas personas por desconocimiento tienden a emitir juicios que afectan la salud mental de las personas que las padecemos, por eso hay que tratar de normalizarlas y hacer entender a todos desde pequeños que esas personas no tiene nada de malo

El vitiligo debe ser afrontado con total normalidad en la sociedad, de esta manera estaremos favoreciendo la inclusión, actualmente vivimos en un tiempo donde nos enfrascamos en observar de manera muy descarada a las que fisicamente son diferentes, causando que ellos se sientan incomodos y con temor de salir de sus hogares.

He visto varias personas con vitíligo, aunque es la primera vez que conozco que se llama así. Muy difícil la historia de Amanda, desde el principio llena de tropiezos a esa adaptación tanto a un nuevo país y ya luego con la enfermedad. Al final, la familia prevalece para apoyarla y guiarla. Buena formar de plantear este tema; algunas personas no comprenden estos términos y ya luego comienza la discriminación.

Hola @soldierofdreams, si la pobre Amanda no a tenido una niñez fácil y todo producto del estrés causado por un cambio de ambiente forjado, la única manera que ella tiene de salir victoriosa de esta situación social es con el apoyo familiar.

Una historia muy triste la de Amanda. Ese tipo de enfermedades se tienen que tratar simultáneamente con psicólogos para poder canalizar todo el proceso de adaptación, que será la clave para asumir la enfermedad y aceptarla , pues convivirá con ella. Esta es una historia para la reflexión de adultos también. Muchas veces se hace caso omiso a los niños y lo que están gritando son verdaderas lecciones. Gracias por compartir.
Hola @aurodivys, si, es muy triste que los adre de Amanda no hayan atendido las peticiones de ella a tiempo y mucho mas triste que no la apoyen a sobresalir de ese estado de depresión absoluta en el cual esta sumergida.

Justamente es el mensaje que quiero transmitir amiga que esta enfermedad es delicada y del mismo modo afecta física y emocionalmente al que la padece, por lo que es importante la aceptación propia y social.
